At 11:00 p.m. on April 27, 2000 in Pucheng City, Fujiang Province, policemen broke into Dafa disciple Ye Shuiqin's home. They abducted him without giving any reason. It was reported that the policemen covered Ye's head with a cloth bag so that he couldn't see anything while in the police car. Then they beat and kicked him brutally on the way to a police substation located in the suburban district. At the police substation, they tortured him in another way: they put a glass full of water on his head and some dishes on both of his hands. If the water in the glass was spilled or the dishes fell to the ground, they would beat him with steel bars and leather whips. They tortured him in this way for several days and nights. Consequently, Ye Shuiqin couldn't raise his arms when he was tried in court after several months of illegal detention.

Ye was captured simply because he had gotten together with some of his relatives and friends. The police regarded this as an illegal gathering and later he was sentenced to six years in prison for this so-called crime.

Ye Shuiqin obtained the Fa in 1996. After that, he was cited every year for his distinguished work by the municipal government and was respected by his colleagues. He had once picked up over 10,000 yuan (the monthly salary for an average Chinese worker is 500 yuan)on the way to work and managed to return it to the owner. He didn't even pocket the award provided by the owner of the lost money. When he was illegally sentenced to jail, the common folks in his area were all shocked, "What's wrong with the government? Such a good person is jailed? Where are the heavenly principles?"

People who are involved in the persecution include: Wang Yong, Luo Taixing, Xu Yonghua, Ren Qiwen, etc. Also, Ye Zhiqing (deputy political instructor of the Pucheng Public Security Bureau) knew the details. He is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong in the area.

In the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, a Dafa practitioner was forced-fed medicine. When the medicine entered his mouth, a stream of white smoke was seen rising from his nose. He was surprised and then realized that the medicine didn't really enter his body but changed into the white smoke.

The evil failed to persecute him and the Dafa disciple became more unshakable in his belief. All of the evil authorities schemes are just like kids' games and cannot harm a single hair on a genuine Dafa practitioner's head. The practitioner was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in the middle of October 1999 and he went back home nobly after sixteen months.

Dafa disciple Li Mei (assumed name) was captured while putting up Dafa posters. Her husband knew that Dafa was good, however, the officers in his army unit drove him back from Beijing, over 2,000 kilometers away from his hometown, and forced him to divorce Li Mei. Without a choice, he had divorce her and leave their two-year-old daughter. A happy family was separated, and a little girl lost her mother's care. Li Mei was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp.

Since December 2001, the vicious people in Fuyu County of Qiqihaer City escalated their persecution of Falun Dafa disciples. They sentenced those Dafa disciples who were firmly cultivating in Falun Dafa to three years of forced labor reeducation. The disciples were: Wei Changxiu (male), Cao Guixiang (female), Wu Jing (female), Sui Fengling (female), Yang Xueqin (female) etc. Also, twelve female Dafa disciples and six male disciples were detained in a brainwashing class and haven't been released yet.

Dafa disciple Liu Chunying from Jinzhou area of Dalian City was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor reeducation on February 14, 2000, by the Jinzhou Public Security Bureau. She was then detained in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, where she suffered greatly both physically and spiritually. She was not allowed to attend her mother's funeral last year. Currently, she has been finished with her term for over a month and is still being detained in Group No.4 of Team No. 3 of the No. 2 Female Camp. Among the three cities in northern Dalian, in Liaoning Province, the persecution of Falun Dafa is most severe in Zhuanghe City. Without exception, all Falun Dafa practitioners held at Zhuanghe Detention Center have been tortured, by both armed policemen and prison guards. One of these torture methods is to force practitioners to do push-ups on the ice-covered ground. If the push-up did not fully meet the expectation, the practitioner would be whipped with leather straps. After the push-ups, some practitioners' fingers turned black from frostbite. Later, a layer of skin peeled off from their hands, and bruises from the lashings covered their bodies. Some practitioners were forced to stay outdoors in winter with only a thin layer of clothing. These conditions are extremely inhumane.

Detention center authorities attempted to force Falun Dafa practitioners to give up their belief, and those who refused to "repent" were placed into long-term custody. In the end, 5000 yuan RMB was extorted from each of them as a "fine." [The average monthly salary of an urban worker is about 500 yuan.] Some detention center guards often incited the criminal inmates to beat Falun Dafa practitioners. Practitioner Shao Shisheng was intentionally sent to a cell full of inmates who had been convicted of murder charges. Those inmates were ordered by the guards to beat Shao until blood was gushing from his mouth and nose. Shao Shisheng was thus beaten to a slow, agonizing death, lasting two days. The assailants include Yang Yong, Sun Bin and others. The guard directly responsible has the surname of Yang. Afterwards, the prison authorities forced inmates to make false testimony, stating that Shao Shisheng died of an illness, and the inspectors also protected the detention officials. Other Falun Dafa practitioners in the detention center have also received brutal treatment and suffered severe mental and physical abuse. Prison Doctor Lin is ruthlessly cruel. He always savagely force-fed whoever was participating in a hunger strike. Practitioner Xie Guihua was tortured to the point of vomiting blood, yet Doctor Lin still refused to send her to a hospital, or allow her to go home.

The Zhuanghe City Police Department always hands down severe forced labor camp prison terms without a trial whenever they catch Falun Dafa practitioners who clarify the truth of Falun Gong. (In China there is no need to go through the judiciary system to send someone to a forced labor camp.) Several Falun Dafa practitioners sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp this time, include Ying Dongmei, Wang Yingge, Zheng Shuwei, Liu Lihua and others.

Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Lihua is a teacher at Jiangnan Elementary School, who often tells the truth about Falun Gong to her students. A parent, who believed the government propaganda, turned her in to the school leaders. School Principal Wang Jinzhi of the school insisted on reporting Wang Lihua to the police department to have her arrested and sent to the detention center. Wang Jinzhi further threatened the students to turn in CD's with Falun Gong truth materials, or their parents would be arrested. Some students turned in the CD's, which Wang Jinzhi submitted to the city's "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. As a result, Wang Lihua has been sentenced to one year of forced labor. The police have also demanded some money, which has not yet been paid.

Wang Lianwen works in the Security Section of the No.3 Provincial Waterpower Division in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. Police in Kelamayi City have been very aggressive in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The political security team leader, director, and residential police officers have conducted reckless searches of practitioners' homes, at their own discretion. They cursed while destroying pictures of the Falun Gong Teacher. In the past two years, six Falun Dafa practitioners have been unjustly sent to prisons or forced labor camps. Numerous others have been illegally held in custody. Lawless policemen often broke into and ransacked practitioners' homes at night. In September 2001, the police took Falun Dafa practitioner Tang Qi, of the Baijiantan District of Kelamayi City, into custody with no evidence or probable cause. Tang had to wear handcuffs and shackles, despite having been on a hunger strike for over twenty days, and remained extremely weak. Tang was paroled after seventy-five days. One week later, Tang's home was again illegally searched at night. When the police found Falun Dafa books and portraits of Falun Gong Teacher, they mercilessly beat Tang Qi, striking his face over two hundred times. After Tang was taken away, his 14-year-old son and a nephew were also taken to the police station and interrogated for two hours. Meanwhile, three bicycles and a bundle of leather strings were confiscated, with the excuse that the family could not provide the original receipts, and yet no official receipt or paperwork was provided when these properties were impounded.

Policeman Wang Feng, of Baijiantan District, also persecutes Tang Qi's family by forbidding the family from living in the district and forcing the school to suspend Tang Qi's son. The child had to stay out of school for a month until the family filed requests with the relevant departments at the district and city levels. For now, only temporary arrangements have been made for him to go back to school.
