A Middle School Teacher Nobly Clarifies the Truth at Great Cost

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Gong practitioner from Anhui Province. I'm also a middle school teacher.

At the end of the 1980s, because of the heavy pressures of life, my health began to deteriorate, which made me lose faith in life for a while. Fortunately, in October 1995, I obtained Falun Dafa. I conducted myself in accordance with Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, and tried to be a truly good person. I became more conscientious in my work and let go of my pursuit of fame and money. I have experienced the happiness of being a good person and conducting myself in accordance with Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, the principles of the universe. All my illnesses have disappeared as well.

On July 22, 1999 when we learned that our Falun Dafa was defamed, we went to Hefei City, the provincial capital, to clarify the truth. Because I wanted to tell the provincial government that Falun Dafa is good, I was punished through disciplinary detention for 15 days, and after that, my right to hold a job was deprived in that I had nothing to do at my workplace. In October 1999, Falun Dafa was once again slandered. On December 23, 1999, I went to Beijing alone to safeguard the Fa. At the Appealing Office, I earnestly wrote 3 informative articles hoping that the government would treat Falun Gong with justice and provide a legal environment in which to practice Falun Gong. I was arrested again for this appeal. On December 28, 1999, I was sent from Beijing and illegally held in the Second Detention Center in Huainan City.

On January 10, 2000, because I openly practiced Falun Gong in the detention center, I was shackled with chains that weighed more than 20 kg. Tao, the director of the detention center, even made me run while wearing the shackles. But Tao was not satisfied. He thought me too slow and so followed me and lashed me with a whip. He lashed me 13 times. In this way, he ordered me to run while wearing the shackles every day. I loudly recited Hongyin (Teacher's poems) while running for a period of time that added up to 4 and a half days. From this, the iron ring in the middle of the shackle was worn down. Now if you visit the Second Detention Center in Huainan City, you will find this shackle, the heaviest one, in which the middle iron ring is completely flattened! They stopped making me run with shackles when it started raining. I was shackled for 15 days. On January 24, 2000, I was transferred to the First Detention Center.

At the First Detention Center in Huainan City, a few of the guards did not do evil towards Dafa practitioners. At the end of February, a few days after the Chinese Lunar New Year, I went on hunger strike to protest the guards confiscating Teacher's articles and poems that I recited and wrote down. Three days later, the detention center sent many criminal cellmates to force-feed me under the supervision of the director. The force-feeding is really dangerous. Because the person being force-fed is struggling, it is very easy for food to get into the trachea. They used a screwdriver to pry open my mouth. My mouth was bleeding and my teeth were loosened due to the force of the prying. My cellmates all cried when they saw me. Later, I was put on a "Dead man's bed," which is used specifically for criminals waiting for execution. They fastened my feet to the bed with iron rings and handcuffed my hands to the bed. They only unlocked me twice a day, for ten minutes each time, so I could use the bathroom. I was tied to the "Dead man's bed" for 27 days. Because my legs were not able to move for a long time, they turned black and blue and felt cold night after night.

In the middle of April, one month after being freed from the "Dead man's bed," I was again force-fed and then tied to the "Dead man's bed" for reciting Master's articles. But this time, they did not even unlock me from the bed to use the toilet for over 24 hours. I was tied on the "Dead man's bed" after being force-fed at noon and not allowed to get up until lunch time the next day. They would not unlock me no matter how often I asked. Thus I could not help crying during noontime. Tens of millions of people conduct themselves according to Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance and practice the exercises to become healthy, but are encountering such inhumane torture! Hundreds of thousands of practitioners are illegally held in the detention centers, custodial centers, forced labor camps, or are even sentenced to jail! How many practitioner's families have been torn apart? We have verified that 384 practitioners have been tortured to death--have lost their precious lives! On May 3, I was untied from the "Dead man's bed" by a kind-hearted warden, which ended 16 days of torture. I was tied to the "Dead man's bed" for a total of 43 days during the two episodes!

In the middle of August 2000, I suddenly was unable to walk; I became paralytic and completely lost the ability to function. I had been tortured to paralysis! On September 1, the court sent a document stating that I would not be fined. My husband carried me home. I had been in the detention center for 8 months.

When I returned home, I kept studying the Fa and practicing the exercises. After two months, by December, I was able to stand up on my own. Falun Dafa is so great, so intricate, and extraordinary! But just when I was able to walk by myself and still not steady on my feet, I was arrested from home on January 19, 2001 during the massive nation-wide raids. I was punished with 15 days of disciplinary detention in the name of "disturbing social security."

In August 2001, I was again arrested from my home and sent to a detention center. They intended to send me to the forced labor camp; but set me free 3 days later for some unknown reason. Soon after this, I was forced to leave home and live a nomadic life to avoid further persecution. On December 29, 2001, I was unreasonably arrested from a taxi in Zhengyang town, Shou County. I was held for a month at the detention center in Shou County. On January 28, 2002, I was brought back by the police in Tian District, Huainan City and held at the detention center in Tian District. On January 31, I was sent to the Anhui Provincial Female Forced Labor Camp. The police suspected us of distributing Dafa flyers but they didn't have any proof. Where is the justice?

Please keep in mind, only when one follows the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance can one have a wonderful future.
