Irish Practitioner's Letter to German Prime Minister Asks for Help in Stopping the Atrocities in China

My name is Gerald O'Connor and I am writing to you in regards Jiang Zemin's visit to your country this coming week. Three weeks ago I was in China and during my short trip there I was met with some terrible things. I faced propaganda spreading hate, physical abuse and mental abuse all because I practice Falun Dafa.

In China, practicing Falun Dafa is a crime punishable by death. What is Falun Dafa? Falun Dafa is a cultivation system for cultivating ones heart and inner self with the universal principles truth-compassion-forbearance. Why does Mr. Zemin persecute Falun Dafa practitioners so ruthlessly? From what I can understand, it is because of his selfish, ungrounded fear of losing power. Falun Gong is not political. Appealing to others to stop human rights atrocities taking place is not a political act, it is an act of kindness meant to end others' terrible suffering. Too many people have suffered and died at the hands of this terrible campaign. The only way it will stop is if more people stand up for the truth and stand up for virtue.

This persecution will not last forever. My hope is that with the help of good people the suffering will end soon.
