Falun Dafa Parade and Large-Scale Practice in the Heart of Athens, Greece Appeals to China to Stop the Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 26, Athens saw its first Falun Dafa parade. Over 100 practitioners participated. It started at the square in front of City Hall and went through the pedestrian streets to the Syntagma (Parliament)Square in front of the Parliament. At Syntagma Square the practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises and appealed for an end to the persecution in China.

In the evening, one of the largest radio stations in Greece and a TV channel broadcasted the special topic and conducted an interview with a Greek member of "Friends of Falun Gong Europe." The TV channel also showed footage of the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

All nation-wide TV channels and almost all nation-wide newspapers covered the event. Greeks could also see it all over the world as some channels broadcast to Greek viewers in many countries. The Greek practitioners appealed on nation-wide TV to all kind-hearted people and to the Greek Government to help stop this persecution in China. The event was shown for a couple of days on different channels, and the Greek practitioners also spoke on one of the largest TV morning-shows in Greece.

Another TV channel is coming to a practice site to do an in-depth report. The coverage will continue as the weekly and monthly magazines and tourist magazines will soon be published. Practitioners have also given interviews to the TV channels.

The event was a major success. Not many Greeks, at home or abroad, could have missed this event.
