New York Falun Gong Practitioners Clarify the Truth to Local Community (Photos)

New York Dafa Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday, May 4, 2002, New York Dafa practitioners participated in the largest street-market of the year. At the annual Spring Street Market held on Atlantis Street in Brooklyn, New York, practitioners introduced Dafa and clarified the truth to local residents. The local people expressed their interest in Dafa and their indignation at the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang's regime. After learning the truth they indicated that the Dafa practitioners' efforts to clarify the truth to the local community was worthwhile.

The weather in New York was nice on May 4th, and many people converged on Atlantis Street. This 27th annual large-scale street market had been scheduled for the second half of last September but was postponed to the spring due to the 9.11 tragedy.

Dafa practitioners participated in the gathering for the second time. Two large posters proclaiming, "Falun Dafa is good" in both Chinese and English in red lettering on a yellow background made an eye-catching display. Other poster boards showed people how widely Dafa is practiced as well as details of the brutal persecution by Jiang's regime. The display also highlighted Dafa practitioners' spirit of upholding the truth without fearing hardships and dangers. The Dafa practitioners also demonstrated the exercises, which attracted many visitors to stop and watch. Many people requested Dafa literature and the last flyer was distributed at the end of the activity.

With practitioners continuously spreading Dafa and clarifying the truth in local communities, more and more people are finding out about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Many people are interested in learning Falun Gong and have joined our efforts to call for an end to the persecution in China.
