It is my honour and privilege to send congratulatory wishes on behalf of Her Majesty's Loyal
Opposition and the people of Edmonton-Strathcona on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Falun
Dafa. In today's world where so much of our lives is troubled by violence, hatred and
oppression, it is
wonderful to see the Falun Dafa Practice Group alive and well enriching our society through the
principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.
As a Canadian, and an immigrant I am grateful for the liberties and freedoms accorded to me by our
democracy. We must never take for granted our freedom of expression, freedom of religion and
freedom of association. I and my colleagues in the House of Commons will continue to fight for
Human Rights in China so that Falun Dafa practitioners may be free to improve their health, purify
their minds, uplift their spirits, and awaken their understanding of life, humanity, and the
universe through Falun Dafa.
I regret that a previously confirmed engagement keeps me from celebrating with you today. I
wish you a joyous celebration as you commemorate your first decade of Falun Dafa.
