On May 11 2002, practitioners from Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North and other cities gathered on the Aotea Square of downtown Auckland city to celebrate the 3^rd World Falun Dafa Day and the 10th Anniversary of the Public Introduction of Falun Dafa.

Three large words "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance" in gold colored letters were hung above the center of the stage. On each side of the three words were two yellow banners proclaiming, "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Falun Dafa Benefits you and me". Firstly, practitioners dressed in yellow T-shirts and holiday costumes demonstrated the five sets of exercises. Secondly, three practitioners shared their experiences of practicing Falun Dafa. Later, the practitioners sang songs compiled by Falun Dafa practitioners and performed instrumental music. Many people stopped to watch and were attracted by the magical power of Falun Dafa and the words spoken during the experience sharing. They also appraised the practitioners' wonderful performances. New Zealand's National TV Station had already interviewed the practitioners for a special program about Falun Dafa the day before. During the celebrations, a cameraman from the TV station recorded the whole event. Another reporter form the TV station went to Christchurch city and interviewed practitioners during their World Falun Dafa day celebrations on the same day.

One of gentlemen told one of the practitioners, "I stand on your side. Now nobody believes the Chinese government's lies."

Before the celebration, all practitioners put their hands in the Heshi position to salute our great Teacher, the 409 practitioners who have been persecuted to death, and the as yet unidentified practitioners who were tortured to death by Jiang's regime in China. They extended greetings to all practitioners in China and expressed their sincere appreciation to the New Zealand government and many other organizations for their support during the past three years and their efforts to induce the Chinese government to improve the human rights situation and to stop persecuting Falun Gong.
