On May 11, 2002, practitioners from Washington DC gathered at the lawn in front of the Capitol
Hill and had group practices, sending forth righteous thoughts and performing dances and songs
to warmly celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and the 10th anniversary of the public
introduction of Falun Dafa.
The weather was nice with sunshine and light cool breezes throughout the whole day. Thus there
came many visitors. Every one of the practitioners took the chance to introduce Dafa and clarify the
truth to the visitors.
Besides practicing the exercises and sending righteous thoughts, the practitioners also performed
many programs. There were Chinese and English poets reading, electronic piano playing "Ru Meng
Ling" (Like a Dream) and "Deng Gui Tu" (Return Journey), and a little practitioner
recited Teacher's poem, "Foretelling." The most exciting performances were the
"Dragon Dance" by over ten male practitioners and the "Fairy Dance" by seven
young female practitioners who dressed in ancient traditional white costumes. Accompanied with the
music, their dance was like flying in the wind and floating as a goddess. Many people watched and
gave them long applause.
The celebration finished successfully at sundown.
