Reflections Upon Hearing Master's Lecture in Boston

(Clearwisdom.net) After listening to Master's lecture at the Boston Fa conference, I was deeply moved. I'd like to share my personal understanding with my fellow practitioners.

1. "Mighty Tolerance"

Our respected Master mentioned "mighty tolerance" and also talked about how there are Tathagatas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges. When they have different opinions, they don't argue with each other, because they are considerate of others and understand others purely from the view of compassion. I discovered that whenever I couldn't tolerate something, it was because of selfishness. I am thinking too much about what I have to endure, things such as others are wasting my time, how much trouble it would be to me to implement someone else's ideas and so on. Thinking of how much Master has been enduring for us and for the sentient beings, what excuses do we have not to tolerate others? After reading Touring North America to Teach the Fa, I understood that each of us represents countless beings. Their hope to be saved is dependent upon us. Being tolerant and compassionate to fellow practitioners is also having benevolence to their sentient beings.

2. The Force of Fa-Rectification

Our respected Master mentioned that the force of Fa-rectification is chasing the pace of the expansion of the universe. When it catches up and passes it, it will be the time of the Fa's rectification of the human world. Upon hearing these words, I had a strong feeling: As a whole, how much we advance in our cultivation, how much we focus our attention on Dafa, and how fast we assimilate to the Fa -- this is the continuous breakthrough by the force of Fa-rectification.

Recently I read many articles on Clearwisdom about the hiding places of the old forces. I have the same understanding about this matter. Master said in the "Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A," "Let me tell you, all those who remain and that can persecute Dafa and Dafa disciples are due to our students themselves. Students who haven't taken sending forth righteous thoughts seriously: the evil in the dimensions that you are supposed to shoulder and be responsible for has not been eliminated. That's the cause. So you must take sending forth righteous thoughts seriously. No matter whether you think you have the ability or not, you should do it. What you eliminate from your own mind are ones which have an effect within the expanse of your own body; at the same time, you need to eliminate the external ones, which are directly related to the dimensions you're in. If you don't eliminate them, then they not only persecute you and restrain you, but also persecute other students, other Dafa disciples." "Actually, the evil is only doing bad things in this interim process before the Fa-rectification arrives and before everything that's new is created. All the evil is taking place and acting up here, and it's during this period of time that the evil can throw things into disorder. It can't throw the Fa into disorder, and it's impossible for it to throw the new cosmos into disorder. It's displaying--in this period of time before the Fa is rectified--everything of the old beings after their degeneration, and it looks terribly evil."

My understanding is that the old forces only throw things into disorder in our dimensions that haven't been cultivated well. The manifestation of the disorder in the human world is the evil's rampant acts. This is something that we should be responsible for. If we don't cultivate diligently, the force of Fa-rectification will slow down. Of course, Master is capable of anything, but we shouldn't fail to live up to the mission bestowed upon us by Dafa and history, and to Master's compassionate and arduous salvation of us. Master mentioned this time in Boston that otherwise we would be unworthy of ourselves.

However, the force of Fa-rectification is chasing the pace of the universe's expansion. My understanding of this is that we haven't completely met the requirements of Fa-rectification. Master said in "Cautionary Advice" from Essentials for Further Advancement, "If every one of you can understand the Fa from the depth of your mind, that will truly be the manifestation of the Fa whose power knows no boundary--the reappearance of the mighty Buddha Fa in the human world!"

When I share experiences with fellow practitioners, we all have a common understanding that our respected Master measures and does everything from the perspective of saving all sentient beings. We should do the same. I think that if all of us always keep the salvation of all sentient beings in mind, we can be tolerant, especially to fellow practitioners. Instead of advancing one step and lingering before the next step, we can solidly continue in our cultivation for the long run. Master has mentioned that if we linger at a certain level, we will not be able to catch up with the progress of the Fa-rectification.
