Houston Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day (Photos)

Ten years ago, our Teacher began to introduce Falun Dafa to the public. In the short ten years, Falun Dafa widely spread to over 50 countries around the world and over 100 million people of different races and ethnic groups now practice Falun Dafa. Falun Dafa purifies the people's hearts, and makes the kindhearted people more compassionate and aware of the preciousness of the life.

On May 11, 2002, Houston practitioners held a celebration party at the Auditorium of Chinese Culture College from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The party started with all practitioners pressing hands as Heshi to thank the Teacher. Later, the practitioners performed various programs. Two practitioners from Arlington drove five hours to attend the party. Ms. Lisa of Arlington City has decades of experience in playing violin and is a professional violinist. She poured her feelings into the songs and her wonderful performances won long applauses. One senior practitioner performed "Fan Dance" on the stage. In the audience, one practitioner said to her mother who is not a practitioner, "Mom, look at that practitioner. She is already retired but she is so energetic and healthy. You can't tell her age from the appearance."

On May 12, 2002, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Houston practitioners decorated a dozen of cars with posters and banners reading "Falun Dafa," large color exercises pictures, flowers and golden stripes. Practitioners drove the cars through busy streets and Chinatown of Houston City to promote Dafa.
