We are all mentally abused at Liaoning Province's Yingkou Forced Labor Camp. The guards didn't allow Dafa practitioners to meet their families for more than half a year. Last September, all Dafa practitioners in this camp resisted the illegal manual labor demands and no one signed the "transformed statements [These statements renounce Falun Dafa, promise not to go to Beijing to appeal for Dafa, and promise not associate with other Dafa practitioners]." During the detention period, guards tortured us by all kinds of despicable means, including beating us, shocking us with electric batons, verbally abusing us, forcing us to sit down on a small wooden stool and later, forbidding us to see sunlight for a long time. They also extended our detention terms without giving us any reasons. But all these abuses and mistreatments had no effect on Dafa practitioners. In April 2002, officials in the labor camp divided us into two teams. They forced us to sit down, facing walls for the whole day. They didn't allow us to talk with each other and ordered four prisoners to watch us day and night.

Very early on the morning of May 5, 2002, Dafa practitioners in our division sent forth righteous thoughts, and then we jumped over the iron balusters, climbed over the high wall and left the labor camp safely. Until now, most Dafa practitioners of our division have already escaped from this evil den, which strongly shocked the evils.

We hope Dafa practitioners and people with a sense of justice who see this news will support the Dafa practitioners detained at the Yingkou Labor Camp. Please tell Teacher on our behalf that all the Dafa practitioners detained at the Yingkou Labor Camp are very determined. Those Dafa practitioners who left the forced labor camp will, without hesitation, again melt into the mighty current of Fa-rectification. We will try our best to clarify the truth and offer salvation to sentient beings and we will never let down Teacher's mercy of salvation.

On May 12, Dalian City's police authorities suddenly began to arrest Dafa practitioners, because May 13 is "World Falun Dafa Day." Perhaps this police action was carried out all over the country. We hope all Dafa practitioners who see this news collectively send forth righteous thought to eliminate the evil.

The following conversation took place between a policeman and the chief of the security section of a factory in Shaoyang City of Hunan Province.

The policeman said, "The repentance statements written by the Dafa practitioners in your factory were declared to be invalid and the practitioners said that the reason why they wrote such statements was because they were deceived and were under high pressure which made their minds unclear. So how about them now?"

The chief answered, "They asked, 'Why are there no murder or suicide cases happening in foreign countries? Why do such things only happen in China? You must be clear-headed.'"

The policeman responded, "They get news very quickly. Now we are trying to destroy Minghui Net to prevent them from getting information from the Internet."

Because a so-called "International Symposium on the Falun Gong Issue" was held in Dalian City in mid-April, Dalian City's police authorities rampantly arrested Falun Gong practitioners. Scofflaw policemen broke into many practitioners' homes and their work units and forcibly took the practitioners away. Until now, nearly a thousand practitioners have been arrested. Practitioners were sent to Dalian City's Detention Center and the Yaojia Prison.

As the "International Symposium on the Falun Gong Issue" was to be held, the authorities were afraid that the attendees, especially the foreign ones, would get directly in touch with Falun Gong practitioners and find out the truth from them. Wicked perpetrators arrested practitioners in order to keep their voices unheard. Jiang's regime baited people with money and abetted policemen to do evil. Dalian City's Police Department authorities have set a quota of arresting 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners. Policemen would get material benefits once they arrested a Falun Gong practitioner.

Under the lure of material benefits, policemen would arrest practitioners without any due process of law. They arrested whoever declared to persist in practicing. Some policemen even arrested seniors and children. An 84-year-old practitioner was put into a detention center and was tortured only because he said he would practice Falun Gong. A 14-year-old young practitioner's father was illegally detained because he declared that he would continue the practice and was thus taken away from home by police. The arrested Falun Gong practitioners are detained together with criminals. Criminals constantly beat, verbally abuse and torture practitioners. Practitioners are forced to do manual labor, such as producing disposable chopsticks. They work from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. everyday, and some have to work until 2:00 a.m. as the workload is very heavy.

We appeal to the international community to pay attention to the deteriorating human rights situation in China; to urge the authorities to release the detained Falun Gong practitioners and to stop Jiang's regime from persecuting Falun Gong practitioners because indulging the evil is committing crimes against all people around the world who love compassion, peace, freedom and happiness.

On July 22, 2000, some policemen in Heihe City attempted to arrest Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuying and her 15-year-old daughter at home. With righteous belief in Teacher, the mother and daughter broke through countless blockades. They clarified the truth to people while leading a vagrant life in various places and did what Dafa disciples were supposed to do. The police put them on a "wanted" list and claimed whoever caught them would get a reward of 30,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is average monthly income in urban areas of China]. In November 2000, the mother and daughter drifted to Inner Mongolia's Autonomous Region. In the icy cold weather, wearing only thin clothing, they clarified the truth to people, tried to promote Dafa and offered salvation to sentient beings with great compassion. The mother was caught by the authorities in the region; the daughter escaped the evil's clutches and is still missing. In March 2002, Heihe City's police secretly sentenced Ms. Wang Xiuying to three years of forced labor and forbid family members to visit her. After numerous inquiries, it was discovered that Ms. Wang is being detained at Qiqihar City's Shuanghe Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Wang's daughter was a well-known and good middle school student, both in morality and academic studies. Because of the ruling dictator's decrees she is now forced to live in exile and is unable to go back home and school or unite with her family only because she believes in the universal principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance."

From the middle of April, within less than two weeks, police officials in Chaoyang City of Liaoning Province kidnapped several Dafa practitioners. Some practitioners were kidnapped from their workplace and some were kidnapped from their homes at 1:00 a.m. or 5:00 a.m. in the morning. In addition, many practitioners were forced to live in exile.
