Dear Sir:
I am pleased to advise you that at the Town of Morinville's Regular Council
meeting held April 30th, 2002, that the month of May, 2002, was
proclaimed "Falun Dafa Month," in the Town of Morinville.
A copy of the attached proclamation has been placed on a window in the Civic
Plaza, for the Public to view.
On behalf of Council, best wishes during the month of May, in honoring
truthfulness-compassion-tolerance (Zhen-Shan-Ren).

PROCLAMATION
FALUN DAFA MONTH
Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners practice the principle of Zhen-Shan-Ren,
Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance, incorporate it into their daily lives,
striving to becomes better people in all environments and situations, and;
Whereas, Falun Dafa promotes the cultivation of body, mind, and spirit
and has inspired millions of people through gentle exercise and efforts to
improve their moral standards since it was brought to the public in 1992, and;
Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners worldwide are joyously celebrating the
10th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public on May
13, 2002, and;
Whereas, transcending the racial and cultural boundaries, Falun Dafa
embraces people of all ages, from all walks of life and religious affiliation,
and;
Whereas, the commitment of Falun Dafa practitioners to the peaceful
resolution of conflicts under the most severe environment and their efforts to
encourage people of our world to enjoy a health, harmonious and peaceful way of
being have touched the heart of every kind-hearted human being;
NOW THEREFOR, I, Mayor R. Lloyd Bertschi, do hereby proclaim May 2002 as
"Falun Dafa Month Honoring Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" in the Town of
Morinville.
