Over 3000 Islamic People from Jakarta, Indonesia Attend Falun Gong Introduction Convention and Learn Falun Gong Exercises (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 12, 2002, Indonesia Falun Dafa Association was invited to attend the Falun Gong Introduction Convention sponsored by Indonesian Islam Pesantren Assiddiqiyah. The Islamic Presbyter said to everyone that Falun Gong is the righteous Fa. He said that it was mentioned in their scriptures that one had to go to ancient China if he wanted to pursue the profound principle. He said that now they don't have to go to China because the profound principle is precisely Falun Gong right in front of them and it has come to Indonesia. More than 3000 Islamic people started learning Falun Gong right on spot. That was really an exceptionally great occasion.

As the force of Fa-rectification continuously cleans out the evils in cosmos, sentient beings become more and more awakened and they become better and better in recognizing the Fa. The Fa-rectification in Indonesia is also flourishing. At the beginning of this March, Indonesian Dafa practitioners held a Falun Dafa cultivation experience sharing conference. Over 700 practitioners from 12 countries attended the conference. Although the authorities confined us to certain activities due to the severe interference from the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, Indonesian practitioners did not stop making great efforts. We follow Teacher's teaching to do well in studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth. We widely distribute truth-clarification materials and clarify the truth about Dafa. Some practitioners went to the newsrooms of newspaper offices to clarify the truth and requested them to report the news in a positive and objective way. Some other practitioners went to all levels of the central government offices to deliver truth-clarification materials and Dafa books. In addition, the Indonesia Falun Dafa Association filed lawsuit in South Jakarta District Court to impeach the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia for its illegal actions in defaming Falun Gong. In succession, some practitioners went to off-island to attend an invitation to the Health Symposium sponsored by the Health Department of West Kalimantan Province to do Hongfa. On May 8, when the Health Department of Indonesia West Kalimantan Province celebrated the 54^th World Health Day, we received a proclamation from the Health Department to honor Falun Gong for its universal principle of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance, its great contribution to improving both people's Xinxing (mind nature) and physical health, and its wide spread in the world.

On May 12, under Teacher's compassionate arrangement, the Indonesia Falun Dafa Association went to Tangerang Town of Jakarta to attend an invitation to the grand Falun Gong Introduction Convention at Pesantren Assiddiqiyah. Over 3000 Islamic people and presbyters attended the convention. The Islam presbyter of Pesantren Assiddiqiyah gave the opening remarks. Then Falun Gong practitioners hosted the rest of the activities including clarifying the truth about Dafa to newspaper and TV station reporters, distributing Dafa flyers, demonstrating and instructing the 5 sets of Falun Gong exercises, holding the "Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibition and so on.

It seemed by accident to get this opportunity to introduce Falun Dafa. After reading "Zhuan Falun", the presbyter of the Pesantren Assiddiqiyah realized that Falun Gong is the righteous Fa, which can benefit cultivators in upgrading their Xingxin, improving their health and let them become better persons. On another occasion, the presbyter, Mohammed, Dr. Escanda, a congressman and practitioners from Indonesia Falun Dafa Association met together. They exchanged with each other their understandings of Falun Gong as well as the truth they knew about Dafa. The presbyter immediately promised to support Falun Gong and spread Dafa to his over 5000 Islamic followers. So he held this Falun Gong Introduction Convention at the Pesantren Assiddiqiyah.

On the morning of May 12, it was cloudy and rainy. It seemed that the evil was interfering with and testing Dafa disciples.

Around 9 am, the convention started. The capacious lawn and the big cloth tent were filled with over 3000 Muslims, old or young, female or male. Some stood outside the tent learning the exercises in the rain. Dressed in yellow, practitioners walking in the rain to teach the exercises and give demonstration. The peaceful and beautiful Dafa music resounded in the campus.

The presbyter expressed in his opening speech: The purpose of inviting the Indonesia Falun Dafa Association is to introduce Falun Dafa to the Indonesian people because they (the Indonesian people) carry so much Karma. Most Indonesians in the middle and lower classes are very poor. How happy would it be and how much medical expenses would be saved if they practiced Falun Gong and had their health and Xinxing improved, quit smoking and abusing drugs? He also said: The scripture mentioned that if we wanted to pursue more profound principles, we had to go to ancient China to find them. Now we don't need to go to China. The profound principle is precisely Falun Gong right in front of us, and it has already come to our Indonesia. The presbyter mentioned several times that he hoped Falun Gong could become the bridge of union for the Chinese and Indonesian nations.

The presbyter's speech gained warm applause.

In succession, practitioners briefly introduced the development of Falun Gong and the health-improvement effects. Some practitioners shared their understandings and cultivation experiences. The Introduction Convention successfully concluded around noon. After attendees left, practitioners cleaned up the meeting place on their own initiative.

Practitioners also used 32 white boards to post over 150 "Journey of Falun Dafa" photos on the side of the square. The real photos showed Indonesian practitioners' spreading Dafa at various places, the worldwide spread of Falun Gong, and the inhuman persecution suffered by fellow practitioners in Mainland China. The photos attracted many spectators, who further learned the truth of Falun Gong.

After the introduction convention, over 30 practitioners went to the Training Institute of the Agriculture Bureau in the city of Bogor to do group practice, study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts on every hour. The hongfa activities concluded at 4 pm the next day.

The success of this grand Falun Dafa Introduction Convention indicates that more and more Indonesian people will benefit from Dafa. At this historic moment when Dafa's wide spreading reaches its 10^th anniversary, Indonesian practitioners warmly congratulate the "World Falun Dafa Day" and extend our highest regards to our great and compassionate Teacher!
