(Clearwisdom.net) On May 11, 2002, Mr. Dick A. Greco, Mayor of the city of Tampa, Florida signed a proclamation to recognize the local practitionersí active involvement in community service and proclaimed May 13 as World Falun Dafa Day and May 12-19 as Falun Dafa Week in the city of Tampa. At 6:30 p.m. on May 16, 2002, City Council Chairman Miranda presented the proclamation at the city council meeting on the Mayorí s behalf. Local practitioners made a speech to express their appreciation and to introduce Falun Dafa and the persecution in China. A local TV station covered the event.
