Heaven and Earth Celebrate the 10^th Anniversary of Falun Dafa's Public Introduction

Swedish Falun Dafa practitioners gathered on May 13 in Stockholm to warmly celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. Practitioners wore festive clothes, carried colorful balloons and flowers, and paraded through the street joyfully. A banner reading, "The 10^th Anniversary of Falun Dafa's Public Introduction" in Chinese, English and Swedish looked wonderful in the parade. Practitioners sang and danced in the Royal Garden, and the audience enthusiastically applauded their performance. Swedish VIPs came out to lend support and congratulate World Falun Dafa Day. The Sweden Expressen (Evening paper) reported this event in the next day's issue.

Open Forum

On May 12, 2002, the Xinhua News Agency brought out the case of a mental patient killing her 9-year-old daughter. This is again another vicious attempt at slandering Falun Gong. Falun Gong teachings prohibit killing lives, not to mention killing people. Furthermore, Falun Gong has emphasized many times that mental patients cannot practice Falun Gong. The fact that Jiang's mouthpieces at the Xinhua News Agency are using the tragic story of the patient's family [to slander Falun Gong] is a shame and misfortune for the Chinese people.

Guan Suyun's killing of her daughter is the result of the Jiang group's brutal brainwashing. On May 12, CCTV's Focal Point Interview aired the story of this killing, which happened in Yichun City's Meixi District. All the people reported in the program were those who had given up cultivation [were no longer practitioners of Falun Gong] and turned against Dafa. These people's crimes should be attributed to the fact that they chose to accept the evil's brainwashing and chose to walk the path of moral corruption. [Note: some of these people may have been brutally tortured prior to their renouncement of the practice.]

Falun Dafa Overseas

On May 13, World Falun Dafa Day, Australian artist Ms. Zhang Cuiying started her 4-day solo painting exhibition in a gallery of New York City. At the opening ceremony, a New York City Councilman expressed his sympathy towards Ms. Zhang for her experiences in China. After reading the exhibition ad in a newspaper, a Chinese person came to visit. He carefully viewed each of the paintings and said, "Jiang is so wicked."

Practitioners from up state New York participated in the Rochester Lilac Festival for the third time around May 13. Many people at the festival praised the practitioners and signed their names in support of Falun Gong. The practitioners also encountered a US Senator during Hongfa at the festival. The senator said that people of the US are indignant about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. He also hopes the practitioners can persist in what they are doing.

Practitioners Exchange Insights

After some Falun Dafa practitioners in China shared their understandings, they came to the common understanding that it is very important to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evil elements at the "610 Offices," Political and Judicial Committee offices, and police substations throughout China. My personal understanding is that in addition to sending forth righteous at 6:00 and 12:00 in the morning and at night, we also need to send forth powerful righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil whenever passing by these offices and local police substations. Throughout our daily lives, we can stop by these places anytime we would like to do this. We need to take the initiative to eliminate the remaining evil elements that control people instead of waiting until after they begin persecuting us to eliminate them.

My young son is also a practitioner. However, for a while he would not listen to me and would take money and spend it recklessly without telling me. He would not study the Fa or send forth righteous thoughts either. One day, as I casually picked up the cartoon books and toys that he plays with, a thought suddenly came to my mind: is it possible that the skeletons and grotesque faces in the cartoon books have evil elements behind them that are interfering with him? After I sent forth righteous thoughts to clean them up, he changed. He was able to carefully listen to Teacher's lecture, and sometimes even reminded me: "It is time to send forth righteous thoughts now."
