A Grand Parade in Downtown Toronto (Photos)
On the afternoon of May 19, at 2:00 p.m., nearly 1500 Falun Dafa
practitioners from 15 countries held a grand celebration parade. The parade
group passed through College Street in University of Toronto and extended to the
main avenue of Chinatown. The long parade procession and Dafa practitioners'
peaceful and compassionate smiles brought upon the city a happy, cheerful
festival atmosphere.
Led by a vehicle carrying broadcasting equipment that transmitted the song "Falun
Dafa is good," several Asian and Western Dafa practitioners walked in the front
of the parade, holding a giant banner stating "Falun Dafa in Canada" and another
banner reading "Greetings, Teacher." More than ten female Dafa practitioners in
long pink skirts danced lightly to the music, holding fans in their hands.
Gigantic hydrogen balloons were floating aloft with the words
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and "Falun Dafa is good" in both English
and Chinese printed on them.
Practitioners sang the song "Falun Dafa is good" all the way during the
parade.
When the parade entered Chinatown, many people were amazed by the singing of
"Falun Dafa is good" and banners reading "Falun Dafa," and they came out to the
street to watch the magnificent scene.
After the parade, Dafa practitioners gathered in the front of Ontario
Province Parliament Building and had a group photo taken. |
