The Magical Encounter

I met a Taiwan practitioner during a Hongfa activity. After she learned that I came from China, she asked me earnestly to tell her about the situation of the practitioners in China. She said, "I really admire them."

I said to her, "There are many touching stories about Chinese practitioners, but that was simply our cultivation environment. Didn't overseas practitioners experience the same? For the past three years, overseas practitioners consistently clarified the truth to people and governments all over the world. They held peaceful appeals in front of Chinese Embassies and Consulates rain or shine. They exposed evil and promoted Dafa greatly overseas. Their experience was just as touching. What they did provided immense encouragement to Chinese practitioners. Chinese and overseas practitioners are one body! We are all doing various activities that we should do. In fact, all these were arranged by Teacher."

She said, "I heard that you went to rectify the Fa at Tiananmen Square. Could you tell me more about it?"

I told her, "Did you by any chance read an article written by me on Clearwisdom? It basically talked about this."

She was stunned, "Was that you? What a coincidence, I was trying to look for the practitioner in that story! I'd like to know what was on your mind when you sent forth righteous thoughts. Did you use any hand gestures?"

I told her, "I did not use any hand gesture at all."

In fact, I had just one thought in my mind, a single but very pure thought: Rectify the Fa on Tiananmen. We had waited millenniums for this, and we had a pledge with Teacher to keep, a vow to fulfill. Other than that, I did not have any other reflections. As for whether we could be arrested or achieve consummation, etc., no, I did not have a single bit of those thoughts on my mind.

We clearly sensed that Teacher was alongside us, guiding us, safeguarding us and showing us the way. When I was hanging up a banner at the entrance of a pedestrian underground walkway, a policeman was just walking up from below. A fellow practitioner was pretending to read a paper, but in fact was sending forth powerful righteous thoughts to the policeman: "Do not walk up! Halt!" Unexplainably, right there and then the policeman stopped, and stood there with a pleasant smile on his face. I was calmly hanging the banner, and my mind was at ease. Later on I thought about that scene. It was as though Teacher sent for the policeman to stand guard for us.

This episode was indeed quite miraculous. Wasn't it the mighty power of righteous thoughts? We must adhere to Teacher's requirements of Fa study. We need to read the book frequently and study the Fa steadily and consistently, and treat Fa study critically in spite of how busy we are. Only by following this course resolutely can we assimilate and merge ourselves into the Fa. Only then can we maintain our immense righteous thoughts at all times.

Teacher stated in his Touring North America to Teach the Fa, "When you conduct yourselves righteously Master can do anything for you. If your righteous thoughts are truly strong, if you're able to put aside the thought of life and death, and if you're solid and unshakable like diamond, then those evil beings won't dare to touch you."

I smiled and said to her, "Really, all of these experiences are arranged by Teacher. All Teacher wanted was our heart, that pure and unadulterated heart."

She said, "I can see that, just as other practitioners have stated, it all comes down to one word, our 'faith.'"

"That's right," I continued, "This 'faith' is most crucial. We can only achieve 'solid and unshakable like a diamond' by truly following through in our faith of Teacher and the Fa. Remember Teacher's comment in 'Also in a Few Words'? 'Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos's Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward out of ordinary humanness.'"
