Dafa Practitioner Ms. Du Baolan Beaten to Death by Lawless Officials of Linghe District Police Department, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province

Around 7 p.m. on May 7, 2002, Ms. Du went to the home of a fellow practitioner, Duan Jun. Unexpectedly, Duan Jun's husband sided with the evil. He called "110" [emergency number in China] and reported to the police, who arrived and arrested Ms. Du and Ms. Duan. Ms. Du was tortured to death that same night. On the next day, the police notified Ms. Du's family, claiming that she jumped from a building and killed herself. The police also made three unreasonable demands: 1. Don't spread the news; 2. Don't hold a funeral; 3. Cremate the body after three days.

According to people who were present, Ms. Du was carried into a police car on the night of her arrest. Screams were heard from inside the police car. According to insiders who saw Ms. Du's body, all four limbs were fractured and there was a hole in her forehead. However, there was nothing hard enough at the death site that could possibly cause these injuries. Because the cause of death is still unclear, the police are now severely blocking the news.
