On May 13th, Dutch Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in the
Vondel-parc in Amsterdam to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. Although it was just
a regular working day, the park was very crowded.
The celebration started at 11:00 a.m. We hung up our banners that read "the
world needs Truth, Compassion, Forbearance," and put up some picture boards
showing Falun Dafa around the world. We gave balloons, which had Falun Dafa
written on them, to children.
Some of us demonstrated the exercises while others distributed truth
clarifying materials. We also sent forth righteous thoughts each hour on the
hour. Many people stopped by our site and accepted our flyers, and many people
came to ask questions.
At 4 p.m. we walked from the park to the central railway station through the
Amsterdam city center. During our walk we distributed all the flyers we took
with us. At the Dam, a famous square, we took a group picture and successfully
concluded our World Falun Dafa Day celebration.
