City of Wilmington, North Carolina Proclaims Truth-Compassion-Tolerance Week, Mayor Presents Award in Person (Photos)
On May 11, 2002, Mr. Harper Peterson, mayor of the city of Wilmington, North
Carolina signed a proclamation to recognize the local practitioners' active
involvement in community service and proclaimed May 12-19
as Truth-Compassion-Tolerance Week in the city of Wilmington. At 12:00 noon on
May 15, 2002, Mayor Harper Peterson presented the proclamation in front of the
city hall. Local practitioners expressed their appreciation and introduced Falun
Dafa and the persecution in China. Two local TV stations interviewed the mayor
and covered the event.
