It has been learned from reliable sources that Jiang has issued orders that between now and June 4, any Falun Gong practitioners arrested will receive severe persecution. We hope that all Falun Dafa practitioners in Mainland China will send forth determined and powerful righteous thoughts to completely eliminate the evil.

According to reliable sources, a province in eastern China has deployed closed circuit television surveillance systems at the regional and municipal levels. However, how could the evil forces ever block all of the various forms of truth-clarification of Falun Gong?

It has been learned that at the brainwashing class in Wuchang, Hu Xiaolin, Mao Aiping, Geng Shun'e, Tian Xi'e and other Falun Dafa practitioners have been on a hunger strike for over ten days. We don't yet know the details of their physical condition.

Those who have barbarically abused Falun Dafa practitioners include Xie Qiaoyun, Che Jianhua, Zhang Jingxiu, Sun, Wang Ying, Pan from Shuiguo Lake in Wuchang, who have been called in from various work units; and Chen, Xu, Wan (the person in charge), who have been called in from neighborhood administration offices and district Party committees.

Zhang Hanqiao and Li Jianqiao from the Wuchang Police Department often severely mistreat Falun Dafa practitioners. One time Zhang Hanqiao placed drugs in porridge and fed it to a Falun Dafa practitioner known as Grandma Yuan. Yuan tasted the food and knew that drugs had been put in the porridge. Later Zhang Hanqiao even said in front of Yuan, "You're going to be tough to beat, even this could not defeat you."

Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Yulin, male, 29 years old, is from Wuhan City, Hubei Province. He was arrested in 2001 when he was posting Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials, and was later sentenced to 2 years of forced labor. During his forced labor term, Wang Yulin resolutely refused to cooperate with the evil. Refusing to take orders or go to work, he went on a hunger strike. As a result, Wang was brutally tortured. At the end of 2001, since he refused to participate in roll call or to crouch down to answer for being present, a vicious police officer Zhang Guoguang ordered 5 or 6 inmates on criminal charges to violently twist, drag, and kick his knees and calves. Wang Yulin still refused to give in. Then he was stripped of his clothes down to his underwear, to be exposed in freezing temperatures. Afterwards, he was punished by being forced to stand for nearly a day and a night. Wang was injured in his legs, and could not walk for over a month. He was only able to move slowly by groping along the wall.

During that period, Wang Yulin protested his mistreatment by going on a hunger strike. Another vicious police officer, Gao Jun'an, tortured Wang several times. Gao directed inmates serving terms on criminal charges to beat Wang while force-feeding him. Gao also burned Wang's fingers with cigarette butts.

To humiliate him, prison guards forcibly shaved off all of Wang's hair, even including his eyebrows.

They forced Wang to take cold showers, claiming that it was for the sake of his own hygiene. Afterwards, deep into the winter season, they forced Wang to put on soaked underwear and socks to dry them with his own body temperature. After all these abuses, Gao Jun'an and another police officer, Zhang Yi, threatened that if Wang Yulin still didn't "listen to orders", then still harsher tortures were to follow.

Recently, over 20 other Falun Dafa practitioners went on a hunger strike to resist the evil persecution, and they are in critical condition.

The "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] of Mudanjiang City, in coordination with the police department, has arrested a large number of Falun Dafa practitioners since January. So far only one practitioner has been released. After Jiang issued new orders, the police became even more unrestrained in their persecution. In mid-April, the Party committee of Mudanjiang Normal Institute conspired with the Xingping Police Station to search the homes of four Falun Dafa practitioners simultaneously. Using the excuse that Falun Dafa books had been found, they arrested four practitioners. This institution has also violated the law, by completely withholding the salaries of Falun Dafa practitioners who are currently employed for several months.

On April 20, two practitioners were arrested while clarifying the truth of Falun Gong through the cable TV network. Both of them were severely beaten and suffered from injuries during brutal interrogation sessions in Yangming Police Department. The evil people also took this as an excuse to launch a campaign of widespread arrests of Falun Dafa practitioners in and out of Mudanjiang City. The detention centers in Mudanjiang City also began unrestrained beatings of Falun Dafa practitioners who insisted on doing the Falun Gong exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts. Zhao Xin and other Falun Dafa practitioners have been on a hunger strike for over a month and are all in critical condition, yet the investigating authorities have so far turned a deaf ear to them.

After the May 1 holiday, Mudanjiang City has sent over 30 Falun Dafa practitioners all at once to the Harbin Forced Labor Camp. Now these practitioners who have bravely told the truth of Falun Gong to the public are facing unjust trials.

Falun Dafa Practitioner Xu Ai, from Yongnian County in Handan Area of Hebei Province, was once betrayed and forced to become homeless and destitute in order to evade arrest. Recently, he was reported to the police and arrested again on April 18.

The vicious guards in Zhangdang First Team of Fushun City's Forced Labor Camp brutally persecuted Dafa practitioners. Because they had illegally arrested a large number of Dafa practitioners, they locked up 17 people in one ward, which had a maximum occupancy of only 12 people. If practitioners disobeyed their orders, they would brutally beat and curse them, and immediately put them into a confinement cell, which was cold and damp, and there was no sunlight inside the cell. Female practitioners had to sit on a big plastic barrel to relieve themselves while being watched by male guards Liu Baocai, Wang Jun, Lu Kai and others in the monitoring room. The practitioners were deprived of both their personal freedom and their human dignity. All the female practitioners' bodies were covered with scabies and pus. The long term torture and detention in the ward has caused the practitioners to become very weak. Even in such a situation, the vicious police beat and cursed the practitioners whenever they saw them practicing the exercises. They would pour cold water on their quilt and handcuff the practitioners. They illegally searched the practitioners' bodies with the excuse of looking for Teacher's articles. When they found money, they would take it away and refused to return it to the practitioners using all sorts of excuses. They forcibly confiscated the 50 yuan RMB [average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is 500 yuan] in Dafa practitioner Song Xiuxiang's pocket. The guards also beat and cursed the practitioners for no reason. The practitioners refused to cooperate with these vicious people, so they held a collective hunger strike to protest. The vicious police force-fed the Dafa practitioners through a nasal tube insertion. Female practitioners Zhou Yuzhi and Song Xiuxiang were force-fed for 7 continuous days through tubes. The guards pulled out the tube 7 days later. The guards also forced the practitioners to buy the high-priced necessities sold in the forced labor camp. They took the ill-gotten money as their own. Policeman Liu Baocai inhumanly beat up the female practitioner Ma Yunxiang, who had been on a hunger strike for over 30 days. He shocked her with electric batons while both of her hands were cuffed in her back and her feet were cuffed to the bed, and then he stepped on her mouth. The means were extremely brutal.

On March 14, 2002, Tongnan County's Police Department in Chongqing, together with Yibin City's Police Department, secretly arrested several Falun Dafa practitioners, whose names are unknown. At present, nobody knows their whereabouts or whether or not they are still alive.

In July 2000, female Falun Dafa practitioner from Tongnan County of Chongqing City Zou Yu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and was then escorted back. She was illegally detained for over one month, and is still not allowed to go back to work. She was the primary source of income in her family. The cadre of her work unit threatened, "She cannot go back to work until she gives up practicing Falun Gong." Currently, Zou Yu's retired parents are providing financial support to her whole family.
