The Story of How Dafa Practitioner Sun Liming's Family Was Persecuted


(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioners Sun Liming, Xie Xiuying (wife) and Sun Fusheng (son) were each illegally sentenced to 3-year prison terms in April 2002. They have all been sent to Harbin prison.

Sun's daughter is a junior high school student. On exams, she would see questions such as "What is the true nature of Falun Gong?" Sun's daughter always wrote, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" as the answer. Another exam question asked, "What kind of negative impact has been brought to society by Falun Gong?" She would answer, "No negative impact has been brought to society by Falun Gong. Jiang and the bad people that he controls have deceived the people who do not know the truth." Her exam paper was then retained by the teacher and reported to the School's principal.

Sun's son, Sun Fusheng, was studying at a Technical college in Jiamusi City. He had planned to take an internship in his senior year. His work place had already given him approval on the internship before the summer holiday. After the work place realized that Sun practices Falun Gong, they cancelled the offer without giving any reason.

Sun Liming went to visit his relatives in his home province, Shandong, on the 22nd of August 2001. The day after he arrived in Shandong, the Agricultural Militia Bureau Chief and the former and current secretary of his work place had a meeting. They traced Sun to Yantai (Sun's hometown, a city in Shandong Province), and demanded that Sun promise not go to Beijing. Sun spoke to them with reason, and they went back to Heilongjiang.

Around the 10th of September 2001, Xie Xiuying, Sun Fusheng and other Dafa practitioners were spotted by the police when they were clarifying the truth. The police arrested one of the practitioners. The next day, Sun Fusheng was also arrested. On the third day, Xie Xiuying went to see her son and clarified the truth to the police. She was taken to Baoquanling Detention Center and jailed for about 7 months. Around the 10th of April 2002, mother and son were taken to a prison in Harbin City.

On the 14th of September 2001, the Agricultural Militia Legal Secretary, a police officer and the Agricultural Militia Bureau Chief went to Yantai to search for Sun Liming. They told him that his son had been arrested and required him to go to Suibin to help with the investigation. Sun then clarified the truth to them. He told them about the law and about human rights, but the Legal Secretary said, "What kind of human rights do you think you have?" They arrested and detained Sun in the local police station for 15 days. During the detention, Sun discussed the issue of human rights during interrogation. The police said to him, "If you want human rights, go ask for them in America." Sun had 400 Yuan RMB confiscated from him. (500 Yuan is the average monthly salary in urban China) Throughout the course of the persecution, Sun's family has stayed firm in their belief in Falun Dafa despite the efforts of their captors.
