Female Dafa Practitioner Li Ping from Anda City, Heilongjiang Province Dies as a Result of Torture

(Clearwisdom.net) Li Ping, female, 33, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Anda City, Heilongjiang Province. Simply because she said, "Falun Dafa is good" and wouldn't give up her belief, the local police sent her to the detention center and detained her there for almost a year. During the detention period, both her body and mind were assaulted and her human dignity was attacked. Furthermore, common criminals also abused and mistreated Dafa practitioners. As a result of inhuman tortures, she fell ill and died soon after she was released.

The practitioners who were arrested together with her include Ms. Pan (69 years old), Ms. Song (64 years old), Li Shuwen (58 years old), Li Xiaoyin (54 years old), Zhong Bo, Lu Wenmei and others. In the detention center, common criminals broke Zhang Xiaoping's ribs from beating her. Mr. Chen, a teacher, was beaten so severely that blood streamed down his face. Each day they were only given two buns made of corn flour for food. Pei Yufeng was electrically shocked and injured by a policeman during an interrogation. Sun Yanhong was beaten and tortured in a way called "riding an airplane" beside the wall. [In this torture, the head is bent down until it cannot go down any further, while the hands are pulled up and held up to the highest point. The hips have to point up. One is forced to keep this position unchanged for a long time. The body in this position looks like the shape of an airplane, which is how this torture is named after.] These peaceful practitioners, who seek only to live with high moral character, have been brutally tortured and deprived of their basic human rights.
