On Friday, May 17, 2002, Taipei's Mingde Middle School celebrated the 34^th anniversary of the founding of the school. On that day, Principal Ms. Ge Hong invited Falun Gong practitioners to give a 30-minute Falun Dafa exercise demonstration.

The exercise demonstration was scheduled to go from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Unexpectedly, it rained in the early morning. At 10:00 a.m., practitioners arrived at the school and passed out Dafa flyers to spread the Fa and clarify the truth to teachers and students. At around 10:30 a.m., more than one hundred practitioners showed up. They decided to go on with their exercise demonstration in spite of the rain. At 11:00 a.m., the rain let up, and the exercise demonstration began on time.

The demonstration successfully concluded with the practitioners singing the song "Falun Dafa is good" together.
