By a Falun Dafa Practitioner in Japan
(Clearwisdom.net) On May 13, 2002, 34-year-old French citizen and Canadian permanent
resident, Mr. Martial Bachoffner, unfolded a Falun Gong banner reading
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" in Beijing's Tiananmen Square, and loudly chanted
"Falun Dafa is good." Afterward, Chinese authorities quickly deported him. He stopped over
in Japan en route to Canada on the night of May 14. On the afternoon of May 15, Mr. Bachoffner held a press conference in Tokyo. Various media,
including Japan United News Agency, Associated Press and Epoch Times were present. Mr. Bachoffner
described his experience going to Tiananmen Square to appeal on the occasion of the 10th
anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public. He answered reporters' questions afterwards
and distributed written materials to those present. Later that afternoon, he was interviewed by
Agence France Presse (AFP). With a compassionate heart, Mr. Bachoffner told every Chinese person he met in China, including
artists, teachers, drivers and policemen, that "Falun Dafa is good." One Chinese citizen,
who does not practice Falun Gong, said to him, "We know that Falun Dafa is good, Falun Dafa is
in our hearts, though at present, we can't openly say it."
