(Clearwisdom.net) Abnormal natural disasters have happened consecutively in China over the last two years. What is the significance to the public? Let's take a look at the following examples.
The swarming locusts -- a plague over the sky
In 2001, swarms of locusts were over 7.7 million hectares of land in Shandong, Hebei, Henan, Hainan, Xinjiang, Tibet, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning and Guandong etc., in a total of fifteen provinces. In all of the dynasties throughout Chinese history, a plague of locusts was considered a result of the cruelty and greed of the emperors and officials.
The snow in June -- a miscarriage of justice
On May 30, 2001, the heatwave that had lasted days suddenly dropped drastically in Shijiazhuang. It turned out to be so cold that Wuyue Village, a scenic spot in Lingshou County, Hebei Province was covered with snow. Later a plague happened in Shijiazhuang. In ancient China a story called "The Unredressed Injustice of Dou'e" described how a woman died as a victim of a false accusation. The heavens, feeling for her injustice, dropped snow in June. It was reported that Zuo Zhigang, a Falun Gong practitioner, was tortured to death by the Shijiazhuang Police Department and the "610" Office on May 30, 2001.
The severe drought -- a warning signal from heaven
The Chinese official report indicated that the temperature in Harbin was as high as 39 degrees Celsius (102 degree Fahrenheit) in May 2001. The heat in northeast China caused a lasting severe drought, which brought the Songhua River in Heilongjiang Province to the verge of drying up. Shenyang City, the capital of Liaoning Province, has suffered from the most severe drought in one hundred years.
The sandstorm -- a warning from the heavens
China has had two periods of severe sandstorms, one was during "the Great Cultural Revolution", which stared in 1965, and the other has lasted from July 1999 to this day. People generally think about "the Cultural Revolution," whenever inhuman persecution is mentioned, as it was a period during which people's compassion was hidden and their human nature was twisted and manipulated to do great evil. As the persecution that was mainly directed against the people who believed in God and Buddha, reached a frenzied peak, the sandstorms of that time were also the most severe.
Let's review what has happened in China recently. From July 1999 up to present, Falun Gong practitioners have been relentlessly persecuted by the Chinese authorities for their spiritual belief. Numerous good people who improve themselves in accordance with Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance were forced to become homeless, moving from place to place. They were arrested, beaten, detained and even murdered. The public today has rarely witnessed such severe sandstorms in history.
The wild crows -- an ill omen
Swarms of crows blotted out the sky over Shenyang in North China. The people there were heavyhearted by the disturbance. It was also reported that since the beginning of winter, the crows swarmed into Xicheng, Dongcheng, Xuanwu and Chongwen district in Beijing. The Chinese cultural history regards crows as the harbingers of something ominous. According to ancient historical records, swarms of crows used to come suddenly to scavenge the numerous corpses of those who died in the wilderness in the years of severe famine or flood. A person said with fright, "Crows feed on dead bodies. Why are there so many crows gathering here in the street and the neighbourhood? Aren't they waiting for something?"
Nothing is coincidental in the abnormal phenomenon of nature. Just by simply taking a look at historical records, we can easily recognize certain relationships between cosmic abnormalities and warnings from heaven. In fact, heaven would warn human beings before each calamity, but people just overlooked the warnings. Had the people paid enough attention to those abnormalities and made the right choice, there would have been another outcome. It is regretful that the people always shut their eyes within this maze, and let the opportunities to do the right thing slip past!

Would you adhere to benevolence, justice and wisdom, or selfishness, inhumanity and lies?
