Falun Gong Practitioners from New Jersey and New York City Attend "Memorial Day Parade" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 27, Falun Gong practitioners from New Jersey and New York City attended the "Memorial Day Parade" held in the city of Millburn in New Jersey. Millburn is a small town in the central region of New Jersey. The city government of Millburn has always been very supportive to Falun Gong. They have issued a proclamation to honor Falun Gong and also condemned the Chinese government's persecution of Falun Gong. Joining in this parade, practitioners not only expressed their appreciation to the local government and citizens but also utilized this opportunity to promote Dafa to local residents and to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese government.

After the parade began, practitioners from New York City performed the "lion dance" and walked in the front of the procession. The exquisite performance attracted a lot of attention. Following the lion dance were four female practitioners dressed in "heavenly girl" costumes, dancing elegantly to Dafa music "Pudu." After them was a procession composed by nearly 20 practitioners dressed in golden practice uniforms, who demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises at various times. The elegant movements gained warm applause again and again. The practitioners' procession was warmly received. Many Chinese people also frequently waved at the practitioners or applauded to welcome them. Several other practitioners distributed booklets introducing Falun Gong and English newsletters exposing the Chinese government's persecution of Falun Gong to spectators on the roadside. Many people expressed their indignation toward the crimes committed by the Chinese government in persecuting Falun Gong. Some local residents expressed a desire to learn Falun Gong after watching the practitioners' exercise demonstration.

After the parade, the practitioners once again demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises for the local residents.
