(Clearwisdom.net) At noon on May 2, over 180 Falun Gong practitioners from the Bay Area came to the San Francisco Chinese Consulate to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong. They called for the Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao to recognize that the Jiang regime violated the Constitution in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. They also called for him to help stop this national tragedy.

During the day, practitioners continued to practice the exercises at major tourist sites, hoping to offer more opportunities to the Chinese delegates and tourists to learn the truth of Falun Gong. Later, practitioners held a candle light vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate to mourn the more than 400 fellow practitioners who were tortured to death by the Jiang regime. Practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts every hour to eliminate the evil. The activity lasted until midnight. The serene and peaceful atmosphere not only let practitioners feel the mighty power of Dafa, but also touched many passersby, who honked their horns to express their support.

A practitioner also accepted on-site interviews by several major TV stations in the Bay Area in front of the Consulate. He exposed the persecution that he encountered when he went back China.

A few practitioners who graduated from Tsinghua University read an open letter to their fellow graduate, Hu Jintao. In the open letter, they expressed their wish that all Chinese officials visiting abroad would realize that the Jiang regime's inhuman persecution of tens of millions of innocent Falun Gong practitioners is a great injustice, and that the persecution must end immediately. The open letter also mentioned two Tsinghua alumni: Hu Jintao's college classmate at Tsinghua, senior instructor Zhang Mengye was forcefully imprisoned for two full years for refusing to give up his belief in Falun Gong. Another Tsinghua alumnus Yuan Jiang was tortured to death in a detention center in Gansu Province last November.

During the daytime activities, practitioners also noticed one or two Chinese men who behaved suspiciously, gazing intently at the practitioners and then going to make phone calls.

Throughout the battle between righteousness and evil, the principle of the universe is measuring all beings. No matter who he is and how high his official rank is, if he cannot clearly realize the evil nature of the persecution, if he cannot oppose the evil, his future will be in danger. We hope that more and more people be awakened and help stop the Jiang regime's atrocities, thus creating a wonderful future for themselves.
