(Clearwisdom.net) Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao visited the White House on May 1 and met with President George W. Bush. Meanwhile, some Falun Gong practitioners from Washington D.C. gathered outside the White House for a peaceful demonstration. The practitioners appealed for an immediate end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

At around 3:45 p.m. when Hu Jintao's motorcade entered the White House from the north entrance, Falun Gong practitioners unfurled and displayed to Hu banners imprinted with "Falun Dafa Is Good" and "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance." Large banners said "Please tell Jiang Zemin: Stop persecuting Falun Gong" in Chinese and "SOS! Stop Persecuting Falun Gong in China" in English. Practitioners also told him, "Falun Dafa is good."

During Hu's meeting with President Bush, practitioners stood on Pennsylvania Avenue outside the White House for a peaceful demonstration. Many pedestrians stopped to look. A Fox News TV cameraman took footage of this serene, peaceful scene. A middle-aged black gentleman immediately joined the practitioners and held a banner when practitioners told him some of the facts about Falun Gong. Practitioners also clarified the truth to staff on site during Hu's visit. Practitioners told them that the persecution of Falun Gong is out of Jiang's own personal hatred and it is against the Chinese Constitution. Practitioners asked them to remember that "Falun Dafa is good" and the principle "Good deeds are met with good while evil acts are met with retribution."

At around 4:20 p.m. Hu Jintao left the White House. When his car passed the practitioners, practitioners again said to him, "Falun Dafa is good."
