Changchun Authorities Establish a Special Taskforce Committee to Escalate the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners
(Clearwisdom.net) According to reliable sources, in order to escalate the
persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, Jiang has allotted a large amount of
funds to help Changchun authorities set up the "Changchun Special Taskforce
Committee Against Falun Gong."
Sources report that following the March 5th Falun Gong broadcast
on Changchun Cable TV, Jiang was quite shaken up and ordered the governor of
Jilin Province, who was then in Beijing for the People's Congress Meeting, to
return to Changchun immediately. Under the supervision of agents dispatched from
Beijing, the Changchun authorities established the "Changchun Special
Taskforce Committee Against Falun Gong." Jiang appropriated huge funds to
this committee and called it an "aggressive, focused campaign." In
addition, Jiang emphasized that this would be a difficult and complicated
"long-term battle," and he shouted to "fight with resolve until
the end."
According to sources, the relevant document has been communicated to
high-ranking officials in various government departments. However, the
communication of this document is "selective." In other words, only
certain high-ranking officials are allowed to see the document. It was reported
that this document admitted that Falun Gong is legal in over 50 countries around
the world.
Experts say that the TV broadcast was a heavy blow to Jiang's persecution of
Falun Gong, since nearly 1 million viewers watched the program that exposed the
truth of the staged "self-immolation" incident and showed how Falun
Dafa is well received in over 50 countries.
Since the broadcast on March 5th, more than 10 people have been
formally arrested in direct connection with the event. Sources say that these
practitioners would be sentenced to death. So far in Changchun over 5,000
practitioners have been arrested. Many of them have been tortured to death and
their bodies were secretly cremated. Evidence indicates that at least 10 people
have been murdered.
