Today 189 people made solemn declarations that what they said and did under the evil force's brainwashing and the high-pressure persecution that was not consistent with Dafa's standards is null and void. From now on they will make up for the losses they caused by redoubling their efforts in clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people and by following Teacher in the Fa-rectification process.
Changchun Falun Dafa practitioner and lecturer at Jilin University Shen Jianli was tortured to death by local police. Her husband Zheng Weidong was arrested while producing truth-clarification materials. On March 6th, Zheng Weidong and 12 other Falun Dafa practitioners were on trial at the Nanguan District Court. During the trial, police arrested Shen from the audience. She has been on hunger strike with no water to protest the illegal persecution.

On April 28th, American Dafa practitioners promoted Dafa on Missouri University's "Earth Day." The elegant exercise demonstrations and moving violin performances of "Pudu" attracted many people who came and learned the truth about Falun Dafa. At the end, all of the Falun Dafa materials ran out. One gentleman held a practitioner's hand tightly, expressing his most sincere sentiments.
(Radio France International, April 29) According to a Falun Gong spokesman, Falun Gong practitioners have no intention to protest Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao's visit to the U.S., but to ask him to uphold justice and support his people. In answering the RFI reporter's questions, French practitioners expressed that people need to know the truth in order to avoid the repeat of a tragedy like the Cultural Revolution.
(World Daily, April 30) When Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao talked with members of the United States Congress, he refused to accept letters that requested to improve human rights and release the prisoners.
Commentary
A letter to all citizens in Chengdu from a resident: According to Chengdu Business Press on April 26, the local media as well as street offices, neighborhood committees, village committees, police stations, administration offices, and Party committees at all workplaces are doing all they can to incite hostility and terror among people, and to instigate people to monitor and turn in Falun Gong practitioners. However, these lawless officials do not understand: No matter how brutally they persecute practitioners and how much effort they put in to instigate common people to participate in the persecution, they are not able to move or destroy Falun Gong practitioners' determination and belief.
