By practitioners in Florida

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 2, 2002, Thursday, the Florida Tampa Bay Community Network had a one-hour special interview with local Falun Gong practitioners.

Prior to the interview, Tampa Bay Dafa practitioners carefully prepared video footage and speech outlines. They discussed with the TV station about details such as interview content, background for the program and so on. They also invited several Western practitioners from Orlando to come to help.

On the day of interview, a golden yellow Dafa banner was hung up in the studio before the interview. Quite a few staff members present remarked, "Beautiful!" Four Falun Gong practitioners answered the hostess's questions, addressing the topics of "What is Falun Dafa?" "Why does the Chinese government persecute Falun Gong?" and "The world needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Practitioners also shared their experiences of physical and mental benefits after cultivating Falun Dafa. Jared Pearman, a Western practitioner who went to Beijing this February to appeal for Falun Gong, shared the experience of his trip to China and the reason for him to go there. Laura Sipan sang a song that she wrote, "Falun Dafa" and the Chinese song "De Du." [Be Saved.] At the interview site, five practitioners performed an exercise demonstration. The hostess had read the related materials before the interview and showed great interest in Dafa. During the interview, she was touched by the tremendous positive changes brought to practitioners after their cultivation practice of Falun Dafa. She learned two sets of the exercises on the spot.

During the entire interview, practitioners kept sending forth righteous thoughts and encouraged each other. The interview turned out to be very successful and the effect was quite good. One program host immediately invited the practitioners to participate in another program in the following week to expose China's persecution of Falun Gong.
