Atlantic Hotel Owner in Reykavik: "Because of This I Joined Amnesty International Today"

(Clearwisdom.net) The Jiang regime's torture and suppression of Falun Dafa practitioners who persist in the cultivation of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" have long since been exposed in the eyes of the world. Their lies, trickery and "diplomatic" methods can no longer hide the fact that they are committing crimes against all of humanity. When Jiang brought his evil act to Iceland, a country that enjoys democracy and freedom, he never expected to meet with such strong, condemning voices of justice in this small, beautiful land.

We want tell all kind people who care about Falun Dafa, and people who don't yet know the truth about Falun Dafa, a true story about an Icelandic man.

1. Mr. Erling, the owner of the Atlantic Hotel

The Atlantic Hotel, close to the center of Iceland's capital, is convenient and comfortable, and it enjoys good business. Twelve of us Dafa practitioners were fortunate enough to reserve rooms with the owner of the hotel, Mr. Erling, through an overseas telephone call. Although this is the peak business season for the hotel, Mr. Erling promised to save us several rooms.

On June 11, two of our Dafa practitioners were about to board an IcelandAir flight in Boston. Without any opportunity to ask questions, we were denied boarding. We were told that we were on a "blacklist." We protested to IcelandAir , the Iceland Consulate in the U.S and the U.S State Department. We also exposed this unjust and unreasonable fact to the media. Because the Icelandic government insisted on carrying out the ban, the two practitioners went home on June 13th. When we called Mr. Erling and told him that we cannot arrive on time, he immediately understood. Falun Gong practitioners being barred from entering his hometown had already become headline news.

Mr. Erling said sincerely and regrettably, "I feel ashamed of the unreasonable decision our government has made." He said, "Do you know? The whole of Iceland is 'boiling.' People are very angry. Jiang brought trouble to the Icelandic people and forced the Icelandic government to make the wrong decision." Then, he warmly consoled us and said that he had seen Falun Gong practitioners' demonstration of the five sets of exercises, and he thought they were wonderful and very touching. He asked, "Please tell me, what can I do to make up for the mistake and the loss our government has caused you?" We told him that his words and his kindness have already helped and supported us. Accepting "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," the law of the cosmos, is doing the best thing in the world. We hoped that he could clarify the truth about Falun Gong to tourists from around the world, with the convenience provided through his working environment. We also told him that Jiang is not only persecuting Falun Gong, but he is also persecuting the Icelandic people, as well as all kind people from free countries around the world.

Mr. Erling proudly told us, "Because of this incident, today I joined Amnesty International, and I will do my share to promote justice, human rights and freedom around the world..."

We were deeply moved by his words. Another predestined person will have an infinitely bright future because of his support of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." His simple and kind heart is what really represents the righteousness and true will of the Icelandic people who treasure democracy and freedom. There is an ancient Chinese saying, "He who gains people's hearts gains everything." We hope that the leaders of all countries can truly think for the sake of their own people.

Mr. Erling warmly invited us to spend a vacation in Iceland with our families when we have the opportunity. He said he would provide us with the lowest price and the most thorough service. He will receive and treat us cordially himself. In the end, Mr. Erling asked us for our email addresses, which he said he will use to send us the most recent news and stories. When we contacted him again, he was on his way to his long weekend vacation, the National Day of Iceland. He made an appointment to talk with us again on Tuesday through the hotel phone.
