  1. If we just want to point out shortcomings or attachments in others, one helping of compassion may be sufficient. However, if we want to be truly considerate of others and to put ourselves in others' shoes and truly be able to help others improve, five or six helpings [of compassion] are needed. When fellow practitioners point out my lack of compassion, I no longer try to find excuses for myself or give explanations since I have come to realize the huge distance between myself and what our Teacher requires of us in terms of always being able to naturally put others first, in any situation.
  2. Assisting Teacher in the Fa-rectification is a Dafa practitioner's number one priority. However, if we forget to cultivate ourselves well in the process, we lack a solid foundation for doing Dafa work properly. Though on the surface we seem to have put Dafa before ourselves, in reality we have not met the requirements of Dafa.
  3. Although practitioners' minds are occupied by big and important undertakings, if we "do not mind the details," large setbacks could be caused by trivial things.
  4. Every situation Dafa practitioners encounter is very important. A single move or act of ours, and whether or not we cultivate ourselves well, may affect the pace at which the cosmic systems we represent assimilate to Dafa, and impact the future of the 80% of the sentient beings who are not involved [in Fa-rectification] at this stage. As Master tells us, they are watching us.
  5. When we feel tired and sleepy while sending righteous thoughts, some practitioners take a rest to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the next session. Some practitioners continue to persevere. Master said, "A Great Enlightened Being does not fear hardship; having forged an adamantine will." ("Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions") When backing off from the battle with evil, one should not feel any huge interference. When I removed my attachment to comfort and strengthened my will, I found that the interference disappeared. Of course, cultivators should not go to extremes. There is no Fa that is definitive.
  6. Non-action (wu-wei) is a great principle of Dafa. Pursuits and attachments will all lead to extremes. They can lead one to be seemingly diligent on the surface, yet deviating far from Dafa in reality. Negative influences may result, and damage may occur.
