Experiences and Enlightenment from the Trip to Iceland

(Clearwisdom.net) From the reports over the last couple of weeks, we have seen the people of Iceland eager to learn about and support Falun Dafa. Practitioners from many countries went to Iceland and joined together in holding righteous thoughts. As a result, we have improved a lot. The following are some experiences to share.

Arriving in Iceland

On May 13, the first group of practitioners entered Iceland. On June 5, another group arrived. Most of them had reserved tickets to Russia, but when they found out there would be a great need for practitioners in Iceland, they cancelled their Russian itineraries and booked tickets to Iceland. Before arriving in Iceland, we did not have detailed plans of what we should do there. There were no practice sites in Iceland before we arrived. With thoughts based on the Fa, we began to clarify the truth to the government, media and local organizations. Fellow practitioners were composed and calm. We remembered to send righteous thoughts as often as possible. Several days after our arrival, we received excellent responses from the Icelandic people. In addition, our efforts to clarify the truth proceeded more and more smoothly.

No Fear of Hardship

Many practitioners came to Iceland after having traveled to Russia and Finland. After a short break upon arrival, they began to send righteous thoughts as often as possible.

During the two days of Jiang's presence in Iceland, we strengthened our sending forth righteous thoughts. On a hill close by the sea, though the stiff offshore breeze was quite damp and chilly, we persistently concentrated our sending of righteous thoughts.

Early on, some practitioners chose to send righteous thoughts around the clock. During the times between sending righteous thoughts, we studied the Fa and practiced the exercises. Since our thoughts were righteous, we did not feel tired. A practitioner who had not slept for three days said, "When thinking of Teacher's words in the poem, 'The Foretelling, 'The Dafa disciples ascend to the height of the heavens; In control of Heaven and Earth, rectifying the human realm,' I felt very warm all over. For the Fa-rectification and for all sentient beings, my thoughts should be firmly grounded in Dafa. As I enter this kind of state, I do not feel cold, hungry or sleepy any more." On the last day, we collectively sent righteous thoughts around the clock for 24 hours. Many practitioners remained outdoors. Late at night, it was cold. No one complained about the tough situation. We just continuously sent forth righteous thoughts. On the second day, we didn't even have time for breakfast and hurried to the road near the airport, where Jiang's motorcade was to pass by.

Shortly before Jiang passed by, a cold wind began to blow. Practitioners holding banners stood steadfast. Another practitioner said, "Send forth righteous thoughts." We first cleaned out the bad thoughts and ideas, karma, bad notions and external interference in our minds and then collectively sent forth righteous thoughts. A group of cheerleaders hired by Jiang's entourage attempted to ward us off by parking several cars to block our line of sight with Jiang's motorcade, but the Icelandic police drove them away. After Jiang's motorcade passed, we were unmoved and continued to send forth righteous thoughts. The cheerleaders beat their drums for a time and then backed off. As Teacher said, "We're doing these things with our hearts, while they're doing things with money." (Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston) Here it clearly manifested.

Be Diligent Without Letting Up

When we saw Jiang's plane taking off, we again sent righteous thoughts. We reminded each other not to be affected by any of the evil's ploys. We should continue to study the Fa, sending righteous thoughts and clarify the truth. We should be steadfast in our righteous thoughts and righteous actions. We should be diligent and not let up.

We acted as one body of Dafa particles while in Iceland. We were understanding and took care of each other with compassion. We enlightened that it is the power of Dafa that allows Dafa work to be done well. If it is not done well, it is due to our own shortcomings both as individuals and as a group. We should do everything based on our understanding of Dafa. Let's all make a concerted effort to selflessly fulfill our divine mission of assisting Teacher in rectifying the Fa, wherever in the world we may be.
