From Germany to Iceland, Practitioners Have Achieved a Higher Level

(Clearwisdom.net) One day, after coming back from sending forth righteous thoughts at the Chinese consulate, I felt depressed and exhausted. Looking back over the past three years, I found that many times, when I did Dafa work, I was out of breath, as if I were always chasing something that I could never grasp. Because of this "chasing" mentality, I was not able to think things over thoroughly or consider all aspects.

I have realized that Falun Dafa practitioners need to understand "how to practice cultivation, and cultivation practice's forms of existence" (Lecture 8, Zhuan Falun) from Dafa.

The incident in Iceland helped us to achieve a new understanding as a whole. Whether practitioners entered Iceland, were intercepted, sent forth righteous thoughts from home, kept vigil at the Chinese consulates, or did Dafa work at home so that more practitioners could go, all of us enlightened to a new level of understanding of Dafa.

Master published the article "Path" on September 23, 2001. Master said, "Studying the Fa and doing cultivation are a person's own affair. Yet often there are quite a number of students who consistently take other people as their role models--they look at how other people do things and then follow suit. This is a kind of poor behavior developed among everyday people. A cultivator has no role models. The path each person is to take is different, because each person's foundation is different, the sizes of their various attachments are different, the characteristics of their beings are different, their jobs among everyday people are different, their family environments are different, and so on. These factors determine that each person's path of cultivation is different, that how they get rid of their attachments is different, and that the sizes of their tests are different. Therefore, amidst the manifestations of things it's very hard to find a path that others have made, and it's even less possible for a person to get a ride down one. If there really were pre-made paths and effortless rides, that definitely would not be cultivation." Master also said, "The path a Dafa disciple takes is a glorious history, and this history has to be created by his own enlightening." That every Dafa disciple should take his own path during the process of fulfilling his historical mission is very important.

I gradually enlightened to the fact that our cultivation practice's form of existence is the state of great enlightened beings -- beings who exist for Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings, who are not eager for quick success and instantaneous returns. An everyday person told me, "I see all of you are very eager. It is easy to be a good person for one year, not hard to be a good person for three years, and being a good person for ten years is also possible. What is difficult is being a good person for an entire lifetime."

While eradicating the evil factors controlling the head of the evil in other dimensions, our mentality is especially important. If, when sending forth righteous thoughts, we do not chase after achieving results after a flurry of activity, but instead calmly and deliberately consider all aspects, then we will not be disappointed and will not have human "hopes." Everything is just that natural. We "should" do things like that. When a big incident regarding Dafa occurs, every disciple has his own things to cultivate at his existing level.

Chinese people all know the story of "the Old Foolish Man Removes the Mountains" (http://easyenglish.home.sohu.com/oldman.htm). In my understanding, it is an ancient Chinese cultivation story. The Old Foolish Man is a cultivator. The Aged Wise Fellow is a "smart" everyday person. Facing the big mountain in front of his home, the Old Foolish Man said, "If I die, my son will continue my work. If my son dies, my grandson will continue. My descendents are endless, but the mountain will continue to erode." The Aged Wise Fellow laughed at the Old Foolish Man, but he was not so foolish. His indomitable spirit moved the gods, who split open the mountain in the twinkling of an eye. When we eradicate the evil elements in other dimensions, we should also have such an indomitable will.

After thinking these questions over in my mind, I felt very peaceful and sent forth righteous thoughts as much as I could. When I needed to do some urgent media work, I was able to handle the articles at home calmly. Many times, even though I did not intentionally send forth righteous thoughts, when I did Dafa work, I could feel the strong energy circulating in my body and eliminating evil elements in the other dimensions. When time allowed, I also shared these experiences with fellow practitioners. Today, we exchanged experiences of continually sending forth righteous thoughts in the past week and our understanding of the incident in Iceland. I found that each fellow practitioner has made striking improvements, obviously much better than when practitioners went to Germany. Our minds are calmer, and our words and actions show more determination and maturity.
