By a Dafa Practitioner from Singapore

(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday, June 2, 2002, "The Great Singapore Picnic" was held in the famous scenic site Sentosa in Singapore. About 40,000 picnickers participated in this mass event. Local Falun Dafa practitioners took this good opportunity to let the local people get familiar with Falun Dafa.

In the morning, the weather was fair with bright sunshine. About a hundred practitioners wearing bright yellow Dafa T-shirts arrived on Sentosa Island. Along the beach and under the coconut palms, practitioners set up three sites, which were decorated with colorful balloons and yellow umbrellas. The red Chinese characters "Falun Dafa," "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and "The 10^th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public," imprinted on our bright yellow t-shirts, colorful balloons and yellow umbrellas were so conspicuous that picnickers passing by were attracted, and some of them read the words out loud. Children were so happy to get colorful balloons that they ran in the crowd, bringing the Dafa message to more picnickers. Some of our acquaintances and friends who happened to pass by stopped and had a good conversation with us.

We sent forth righteous thoughts together at the top of each hour, studied the Fa and shared our cultivation experiences. Dafa music "Pu Du" and "Ji Shi" as well as songs written by Dafa practitioners were played on the tape-recorder. One practitioner played the song "Falun Dafa is good" with her flute.

Some practitioners walked around and introduced Falun Dafa and clarified the truth to picnickers who were interested. Some Chinese who were attracted by the Dafa music stopped to ask for information, and were pleased to receive some Dafa truth-clarifying literature and VCDs from practitioners.
