Vice President Hu Jintao's Classmate at Qinghua University, Professor Zhang Mengye and His Wife Illegally Arrested Again by the "610 Office"

(Clearwisdom) Before Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Mengye was released on February 20, 2002, the "610 Office" (An agency specifically created to persecute Falun gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) warned him not to expose on the Internet the details of the tortures that he went through in the forced labor camp and warned him not to appeal in Beijing. As a Dafa practitioner, one should expose the injustice and clarify the truth. In order to avoid arrest, Zhang Mengye was forced to leave home. After Clearwisdom.net published Zhang's article on March 20, the "610 Office" was very frightened and wanted to arrest him. On May 4, Clearwisdom published another of Zhang's articles. This further angered the "610 Office" and more officers were ordered to look for Zhang and arrest him. They said that as soon as he was arrested, he would either be put into a forced labor camp or a brainwashing class.

On May 17, Zhang Mengye and his wife Luo Muluan disappeared when going out and it is very likely they have already been arrested. We hope for more details from people who may know their whereabouts. We hope that human rights organizations from all over the world will look into this matter. We are also hoping that practitioner Zhang Mengye's previous Qinghua University classmate will extend a helping hand.
