Ms. Mo Xiaoyan, a female Practitioner from Yueyang City in Hunan Province was illegally sentenced to 3 years in jail for writing a letter to UN Secretary-General Anan and going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was unlawfully imprisoned in the Women's Prison of Hunan Province. Because she insisted on her belief, she has been beaten and monitored 24 hours a day by a so-called "accompanying prisoner."

In February 2002, she took off the prison uniform and insisted on practicing Falun Gong. Because of this, the evil people persecuted her more cruelly. The "accompanying prisoners" Zeng Wenmin and Wu E pulled Mo Xiaoyan from bed to the ground and stomped on her body. Then they handcuffed Mo Xiaoyan from behind and pulled her downstairs and didn't stop even when Xiaoyan's trousers were pulled down. At that time, some other prisoners who still had some kindness in their hearts shouted loudly, "Don't treat her like this. They are all good people." Those prisoners standing nearby also criticized these accomplices. However, the "accompanying prisoners" still continued pulling Mo Xiaoyan outside the gate of the prison factory. They then met the prison guard Deng Cheng (female). Deng Cheng pulled Mo Xiaoyan to the ground herself. When Xiaoyan's trousers were torn and her buttocks became bloody, Xiaoyan was taken to a workshop. Then Mo Xiaoyan was handcuffed from behind her back to the windows of the cell and was not allowed to use the washroom. At that time, Mo Xiaoyan was menstruating and was not allowed to change her sanitary pad. Other prisoners were also forbidden from helping or getting closer to her. Mo Xiaoyan was thus handcuffed like this for three days and then handcuffed to the upper level of bunk bed. Mo Xiaoyan's hands festered from hanging and her feet were swollen. They then pulled Mo Xiaoyan into the residential compound and handcuffed her on the gate of the dorm compound for over one month. She was handcuffed from behind even when she went to sleep. Up to now, the persecution to Mo Xiaoyan still continues and is escalating.

In addition, the Woman's Prison of Hunan Province also organized a brainwashing class. Those "accompanying prisoners" were incited and coerced by prison guards to beat Dafa disciples.
