Solemn Declarations from Practitioners
Solemn Declaration In September 2001, my company used lies and deceit to have me sent to a brainwashing class for
three months. During those three months they tortured me physically and mentally but failed to force
me to cooperate. So in November 2001, they sent me to another brainwashing class for three more
months. They limited my freedom and wouldn't let me sleep for days. In the face of these
tribulations I was unable to maintain my righteous heart and enlightenment quality. I felt so much
pressure that, when my main consciousness wasn't clear, I wrote the "guarantee paper" as
well as the "letter of regret." And I said and did things that harmed Dafa and Teacher.
I've created very bad results. I hereby solemnly declare that the things I have done and said that harm Dafa are null and void.
I will deny the old force's arrangements and redouble my efforts to compensate for the damage that I

three years. I went to safeguard Dafa in December of 2000, and I truly felt the power of Dafa. Later, when
they put me in the detention center and I was unable to study the Fa, I felt very upset and couldn't
help wanting to leave the detention center. So when the evil authorities told me to write the
so-called "guarantee letters," I agreed to write them, thinking that once I returned home
I could continue to practice and read. After I returned to my company I was afraid of being arrested
again. Under pressure I signed my name on the "guarantee letter" and "understanding
letter" and was forced to say something that was disrespectful towards Teacher. Later, when
studying the Fa, I came to realize what I did was wrong, and I felt very regretful. On January 11,
2002, I wrote a new understanding of Dafa and vowed to firmly safeguard Dafa in the face of all
persecution. I hereby I solemnly declare that all the things that I said to the authorities in 2001
are null and void. I will firmly practice Falun Dafa and intensify my efforts to make up for the

were arrested. We went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, and they sent us to the
brainwashing class. Under the threats and pressure of lies and fabrications, my consciousness wasn't
clear, and I wrote the so-called "4-letters." I felt extremely regretful. So I hereby
declare that all the things I wrote and said in the brainwashing class when my consciousness wasn't
clear are all null and void. I will firmly cultivate Dafa, help Teacher to rectify the Fa, and

illegally detained and sentenced me, and the "610 Office" sent me to a brainwashing class.
In the brainwashing class, we were forced to write the "three-letters" and the
"separation letter." During the Tiananmen self-immolation incident, the evil authorities
used me and made me speak twice in meetings. I played along and shared my "understandings"
to make myself feel better. With deepening Fa studies I have come to realize that what I did is not
what a Fa-rectification practitioner should do, and I have caused irrevocable harm to Dafa. I hereby declare that all the things I have said and written that harmed Dafa are null and void.
I will follow Teacher's Fa-rectification process closely and will not upset Teacher's compassion and

the "610 Office's" brainwashing class for six months. In the brainwashing class, they beat
me, refused to give me water, and provided only a meager amount of food. While the temperature was
over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, they forced me to undergo "boot camp" trainings, locked me up
in cells, and hung me up by my handcuffs. My body was bruised all over. They took away our sleep
time if we didn't attend the brainwashing. Because they locked me up for such a prolonged period of
time, my legs swelled. A year and a half later, I returned home. In May of 2002, the "610
Office" and the street administrators used deceit to enroll me in yet another brainwashing
class, where they forced me to write the "separation letter." For 19 hours everyday, 5 to
7 people took turns torturing me. They threatened that if I didn't write the letter they would send
me to the labor camp. Two males and three females held me down and took my hands as if to write the
letter. Under their pressure and threats, I wrote the "separation letter" because my main
consciousness wasn't strong enough. Before I began practicing a doctor had declared that I would die
from all of my diseases. But they were all healed when I started practicing Falun Gong. It was
Teacher that gave me a second life. I betrayed my heart and wrote the "separation letter."
I hereby declare all those things to be void. From now on, I will become a genuine practitioner,
multiply my effort to compensate for my mistakes, and follow the Fa-rectification process closely. Liu Yufen June 27, 2002
