1. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] The Zhigang District Court Sentences Innocent Falun Gong Practitioners from 7 to 10 Years in Jail
On April 5, 2002, Zhigang district court illegally sentenced five Falun Gong practitioners. Among them, Li Guangqiang, and Zhu Shuzhen, a couple, were sentenced to 10 years and 9 years respectively. Gao Meifeng (female) was sentenced to 9 years, Ju Xin to 7 years, and Jiang Dongsheng to 7 years. The five were arrested in November 2001 for printing Dafa truth clarifying materials, and have been jailed at the south suburb detention station. This is the first case of Dafa practitioners being sentenced for this.
It's known that the two female Dafa practitioners have escaped with their righteous thoughts, and have reentered the powerful currents of Fa-rectification.
2. [Qijiang County, Chongqing City] Dafa Practitioners Who Are Tied Up and Paraded In the Streets Are Steel-willed, Courageous and Gallant
Female Dafa practitioners Liu Bijing, and Yang Longmei who are from Qijiang County, Chongqing city and two other Dafa practitioners were illegally arrested from their homes in December 2001, and are still being held in the Qijiang detention center. In February 2002, vicious policemen tied them up and paraded them in the streets together with real criminals. During this harsh tribulation, they shouted to the people: "Falun Dafa is righteous!" and "Falun Dafa is good!"
In March of this year, the Qijiang court interrogated them illegally, but the judge had to cancel the inquiry under the effects of the powerful righteous thoughts of Dafa practitioners.
In May, another Dafa practitioner Gong Biming was arrested and brought to the Qijiang detention center.

3. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] The First Detention Center Uses Snakes to Bite Dafa Practitioners
Dafa practitioner Wang Li (female), and Gong Huatao from Suizhou were secretly arrested by the "610 office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] of Anlu city and Suizhou city, and are now being held in the first detention station of Anlu city. The detention center used various ruthless methods to torture them; for example, they put snakes into a bag, then pushed Dafa practitioners hands and arms into the bag to let the snakes bite them. Zhou Xiuying, a 60-year-old female Dafa practitioner from Suizhou was tricked into going to Anlu city, and was beaten up so badly that her face swelled up, and she was forced to tell police other Dafa practitioner's names. One police officer said: if you do not tell, we'll infect you with venereal disease, and see if that will change your mind.
Weiwei, a Dafa practitioner from Suizhou city was arrested at Guiling, Guangxi province on September 23, 2000. Police at Guiling North railway station searched him and because he carried Dafa books and materials, he was jailed at the sixth brigade of the Guangxi 1st forced labor camp. His situation and whereabouts are unknown.
He Zhujun, a Dafa practitioner from Suizhou city was illegally sent to Shayang forced labor camp by the Suizhou city "610 office." His sentence has been over for half a year and he still has not been released.
Dafa practitioner Wang Jiangang from Suizhou has been missing since the 2000 Chinese New Year.
4. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Recent Situation of Dafa Practitioners Being Jailed at Xiangcheng City Detention Center
Dong Zhanmin, a Dafa practitioner from Donggang township, Xiangcheng city, went on a hunger strike for 8 days, and was tortured until he had a mental collapse, also police force-fed him with high density salt water.
Dafa practitioners Huang Yongyao, Doctor Yan, and Fu Qianliang were deprived of freedom, and forced to do hard labor and were fed with spoiled food. They were also forced to walk with shackles on everyday.
5. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Former Vice Chief of the Labor Union of the Highway Bureau Is Kidnapped
Criminal officials at Anshun Highway Bureau teamed up with the Dongguan police substation, arrested and sent Luo Dazhao (former vice chief of the labor union) to the brainwashing camp in the Zhongba forced Labor camp for a term of one month. The unit paid 4000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] for the brainwashing.
Retiree Luo Peixiang from Anshun railway station was also arrested.
At present, five Dafa practitioners are in jail at the Heishitou second detention center. They are: Liu Qiongying (female), Du (name unknown), Cheng Hua, Jia ningan, and Xiang Xianlan (female).
Some other Dafa practitioners were forced to leave home to avoid being arrested.
