By A Practitioner in North Carolina

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa Practitioners in North Carolina took part in the 23^rd annual Eno Festival at West Point on Eno Park of the City of Durham on July 4^th, 6^th and 7^th. It was the third time we took part in the Eno Festival, an activity aiming to preserve the ecological environment of and along the Eno River. With local residents' strong support and enthusiastic participation, the Eno Festival attracts over 30,000 people every year. Our participation provides a perfect venue for the local people to learn about Dafa.

In addition to what we did in the past two years, we made some colorful paper birds, little Chinese-style folding fans and all sorts of flower baskets, and added a Chinese-character-calligraphy booth this year. Children were fascinated with them and stuck around our booth. People were attracted to the graceful and smooth exercise demo. Many came over to ask for more information and asked us why Dafa is persecuted in China. When we handed them CDs of Dafa music Pudu and Jishi, they were surprised and pleased to see images of Feitian (fairy in Chinese ancient culture) printed on the CD cover, and could not help saying, "Beautiful!"

We set up a Dafa information table at the crossing close to our booth for the convenience of passengers. We chose to take care of it occasionally instead of sitting at the table. Many people enjoyed the freedom of browsing and taking brochures by themselves.

The organizers and participants of this activity were mainly western Dafa practitioners. The beautifully decorated booth and the neatly arranged field embodied their thoughtfulness. On those sizzling summer days, we demonstrated the beauty and tranquility of Dafa by doing the exercises again and again. We entered a fresh and cool world after entering tranquility. People walking to us from the noise were surprised to find serenity. As the poem says, "Dafa gradually entering the human world."

A seven-or-eight-year old boy added a moving episode to our activity. He was captivated by our exercises. He watched our demo and even looked at the Chinese version of Zhuan Falun for a long time. He asked how much it would cost to learn the exercises. When we told him it is free, he happily started learning right away. He sat down and kept practicing the hand gestures for quite a long while. We found him still trying these gestures even as he was leaving.

Years of introduction of Fa and truth clarification have given the people in Durham a basic understanding of Dafa. The government is also very supportive. All of our annual Fa-introduction activities have been appreciated by the local residents.
