On July 4^th, 2002, practitioners from Atlanta participated in the annual Marietta City Independence Day Parade and displayed the peace and beauty of Falun Dafa to tens of thousands of spectators.

Two young practitioners holding a banner reading "Falun Dafa" led the procession. Next came a dance team composed of female practitioners dressed in long white dresses, each holding two bright pink fans. Accompanied by graceful music, they performed "fan dances." The audience gave a lot of praise exclaiming, "How beautiful they are!" A float decorated with lotus flowers followed. On the float, several practitioners demonstrated the sitting meditation with peaceful serenity. Behind the float, a westerner practitioner did a martial arts performance, which won a lot of applause and cheers. The last section was a group of walkers. Many practitioners smiled and waved to the audience, bringing the message of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" to the spectators.

The one-hour parade came to an end, but the peace and beauty of Falun Dafa has been planted in the people's hearts forever.
