On the morning of July 5th, Falun Gong practitioners Zhao Ming and Gerald O'Conner had a meeting with the staff members in Irish Prime Minister's office. Later on, they happened to see Mr. Bertie Ahern, the recently re-elected Prime Minister in the building.

The Prime Minister asked about Zhao Ming's current situation and he was very happy to learn about his return to Trinity College. When Gerald O'Conner was studying at Trinity College, he once met Mr. Ahern at a school Commencement and asked him to help rescue Zhao Ming. Zhao Ming thanked the Prime Minister for his rescue efforts and spoke about other practitioners still being persecuted in China, hoping the Prime Minister would extend his helping hand. Prime Minister Ahern thanked the two practitioners for the information.

Zhao Ming and Gerald O'Conner presented the Prime Minister with a letter and Falun Gong truth clarifying materials, including a copy of the book Zhuan Falun and the music "Pudu and Jishi" on behalf of Falun Gong practitioners in Ireland.
