The Female Forced Labor Camp of Guizhou Province: Practitioners in Their Sixties Are Subjected to Corporal Punishment
By a practitioner from Guizhou Province, China
(Clearwisdom.net) All Falun Dafa practitioners who have been sent to Guizhou City's Female
Forced Labor Camp are subjected to "military style drills," regardless of age and physical
condition. Even elderly practitioners in their 60s and 70s are not spared. The elderly practitioners
were made to continue the drills even though they could barely stand, with their legs trembling,
after a long day of performing drills. They had to pass the so-called test before they can leave, or
else, they were made to join the next group for more drills. Before meals, practitioners had to count off their numbers. When someone made a mistake,
everybody had to do it again. One Sunday, practitioners were forced to stand for 2-3 hours to do it
again and again. One practitioner fainted as a result. Practitioners were forced to sit outside in the field all day, except for when they were
sleeping. In the summer they had to endure the searing sun, and in the winter, they were trembling
from the freezing cold. Many suffered from frostbite all over their faces, hands and feet. In the
meantime, the guards were sitting inside in the comfort of a heated room, but were still complaining
about the cold. Practitioners were not allowed to move, not even to go to the washroom. They could
only go at a certain time of the day. They had to go to the designated spot at 7:30 in the morning
and could only go to the washroom at 10:30 a.m. for about 10 minutes. When visitors come, they had
to wait until lunchtime to go to the washroom. Some of the practitioners who were having their
menstrual period soiled their pants because they were not permitted to go to the washroom when they
needed to. One night, a practitioner went to the washroom as soon as the roll was called. Before she
finished, the guard called her back. When the practitioner came out of the washroom, the guard
yelled at her for the delay. To save water, the forced labor camp made a rule that 20 people can share 4 pails of water 3
times a day. People were not allowed to use water any other time. Practitioners had to use a small
amount of water to brush their teeth, wash their faces and feet, and then use the same water to wash
their clothes. The same water was still needed to flush the toilet. Practitioners wanted to pay for
extra amounts of water so they could sponge bathe themselves when it was hot. Their request was
ignored. We ask all practitioners to continue to send forth righteous thoughts and expose the evil
persecution. July 3, 2002
