(Clearwisdom.net) While the details about the recent tapping of Sinosat satellite broadcast are yet to be known, the state-run media has quickly geared up its efforts to sensationalize and hype up this event, which only indicates that it is yet another propaganda ploy by the Jiang regime to stir up hatred against Falun Gong. Indeed, in the face of brutal, tyrannical force, peaceful resistance to safeguard the fundamental human rights is legitimate, because it is precisely on their ability to uphold justice that the power of the laws rests. Unfortunately, such peaceful resistance by Falun Gong practitioners in China has been categorically charged by the Jiang regime as "violating the law." Ironically, when we look around, we are unable to find even one civil society that pardons, under its law, those perpetrators of reckless killings but brands as "illegal" the victims' attempts to have justice done and let the public know the truth.

In the past several months, the cable TV networks and satellite TV channels on Mainland China have been repeatedly tapped into to broadcast Falun Gong programs. All this provides an opportunity to impartially assess Falun Gong practitioners, who have been subjected to a three-year-long persecution, as well as enabling the public in Mainland China to see the truth for themselves. As a result, it poses a potent challenge to the media blockade and monopoly by the Jiang regime, and is in itself a historic feat. While the details about the recent tapping of Sinosat satellite broadcast are yet to be known, the state-run media has quickly geared up its efforts to sensationalize and hype up this event, which only indicates that it is yet another propaganda ploy by the Jiang regime to stir up hatred against Falun Gong. More specifically, it attempts to prevent Falun Gong practitioners from continuing to use TV as an effective means to expose the crimes committed by the Jiang regime; it is also their purpose to use the event as a way to incite public hatred against Falun Gong practitioners, so that they would have the excuse to continue the brutal persecution campaign.

1. The brutal persecution is a violation of the Constitution

Mainland China is an authoritarian dictatorship under the rule of Jiang. It was Jiang's paranoia and personal grudge that led to the persecution against Falun Gong-from the decision to start the campaign of suppression to its implementation, the whole process has been riddled with violations of the law and the Constitution.

For the broad masses of Falun Gong practitioners, who are unarmed and steadfast in their pursuit of "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance," never does Jiang consider the law when he persecutes them; instead, he forcibly applies blanket policies of violence-such as "being beaten to death is to be counted as suicide" and "defame their reputation, bankrupt them economically, destroy them physically." What is more, he coerces the state-owned propaganda machine into spreading the slander about Falun Gong, sowing the seeds of terror and hatred at the expense of Falun Gong practitioners. In the past three years, nearly one hundred million innocent Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted; over one hundred thousand of them have been sent to prisons, reeducation-through-labor facilities, and mental hospitals; thousands of innocent people have been tortured to death; and this reign of terror is still ongoing. More recently, Jiang and his gang have even gone so far as issuing an internal decree to the police force nationwide that allows them to shoot on sight anyone putting up Falun Gong flyers or posters. More inconceivably, amidst this severest persecution, all the peaceful resistance by Falun Gong practitioners has been labeled by the Jiang regime as "violating the law." As we all understand, any peaceful resistance to safeguard the fundamental human rights is legitimate, because it is precisely on their ability to make justice that the power of the laws rests. Ironically, when we look around, we are unable to find even one civil society that pardons, under its law, those perpetrators of reckless killings but brands as "illegal" the victims' attempts to have justice done and let the public know the truth.

2. The hatred and terror created by the media of Mainland China has brought disaster to the Chinese people

Actually, the number of victims of this persecution campaign in Mainland China has far exceeded those several tens of millions of people have been directly victimized or whose families have fallen apart. In this battle between the good and evil, Mainland China's state-run media, which allows one point of view only, has degenerated into nothing more than a tool at the disposal of the dictator to persecute or even murder the innocent and the kind-hearted. Under these circumstances, the people who are directly victimized are treated as criminals when they go to appeal; the Chinese people have completely been denied their right to the truth about Falun Gong and its practitioners, and have to passively undergo the incessant brainwashing and slanderous propaganda-the deceit that breeds their hatred and fear of Falun Gong. Intimidated and misled by the slanderous propaganda, as many as hundreds of millions of Chinese people have succumbed to the dictator's ridiculous policies. They have committed irreparable mistakes or crimes against their neighbors, colleagues, and even family members. People in every profession-be it government official, civil servant, teacher, or police-have been forced to make a choice between their conscience and survival. Deplorably, too many of them have chosen to compromise with the evil to secure their immediate interests.

3. The extension of the persecution to outside of China

Jiang's persecution against Falun Gong has plagued the life of every Chinese who lives in China or overseas. It spreads like a virus, quietly and insidiously causing damage even in democratic countries. So, a warning has been sounded to every person around the world who loves peace, who cherishes human freedom of belief, and who believes in social morality and the rule of law. And this warning is especially dire in the wake of the recent denial of entry to Falun Gong practitioners-who had wished to stage peaceful protests in democratic countries and regions-due to "blacklists" supplied by Jiang's regime, and the interference and infringement of its reputation by Chinese consulates against Falun Gong based in western countries.

4. The peaceful efforts of practitioners worldwide to expose the evil and clarify the truth, embodying the principles of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance"

Under these special circumstances, Falun Gong practitioners across the world are making their best efforts to help the people of the world and their governments understand the truth about the persecution and its evil nature. From petitioning to face-to-face truth clarification, to spreading flyers on the streets, to distributing newspapers, to soliciting signatures, to parades, to posting posters in Tiananmen and other public venues, and to clarify the truth through the Internet, radio, cable and satellite TV, the tenacity and audacity of Falun Gong practitioners are breaking through the Chinese dictator's information blockade. The truth-clarifying endeavor of Falun Gong practitioners in the past three years has been peaceful, rational, just, and selfless. It has been instrumental in clarifying the true situation, saving the innocent, and preventing the very few in the Chinese leadership from recklessly damaging the stability in China and its international prestige. Moreover, not only has it safeguarded the multitude of Falun Gong practitioners' right to existence and belief in "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance," but also has safeguarded many more people's right to the truth. Falun Gong practitioners' honesty, kindness, and altruism are upholding the dignity of human existence and belief; more importantly, they represent concrete actions that epitomize the collective base of human morality: "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance."

While mindlessly attacking Falun Gong websites and trying all means to interfere with Falun Gong's radio and TV broadcasts, Jiang's gang has shamelessly defined its personal assaults on Falun Gong practitioners and its reckless slandering, cursing, and bloody frame-ups as "day-to-day operation of its TV broadcasts and satellites"-its shameless nature is appalling. So, where is justice? Where is the rule of law? And when the state-run media charged with serving the Chinese people is hijacked by the dictator to poison the people, to serve as his tool to persecute the innocent and murder the kind-hearted, where are the interests of the Chinese people? Where are their rights? Under these special circumstances, no matter who tapped into cable and satellite TV networks in Mainland China to broadcast the truth about Falun Gong, their actions are commendable and just-minded, as they exemplify their virtue, kindness, wisdom, and courage. In the face of the violent suppression, their actions are clarifying the truth with peacefulness and rationality, helping the innocent, safeguarding and demanding the return of social responsibility, morality, justice and the law. They are also playing a fundamental role in protecting the interests of the country, the society and its citizens-and in safeguarding human morality.

5. Jiang's gang is plotting to exploit the media to stir up hatred and to persecute Falun Gong outside of China

In order to safeguard the personal interests of the dictator, and to gear up for a smear campaign against Falun Gong outside of China, the official media in Mainland China this time went full blast and made quite a stir around the tapping of satellite TV-when it had become impossible to cover up the repeated TV broadcasts of Falun Gong programs. Its sinister, but obvious, intention has been to incite hatred and hostility towards Falun Gong outside of China, and to interfere with the people of the world finding out the truth about Falun Gong. Amidst this meaningless nonsense, the surprisingly uniform charge by both the Mainland China media and its officials overseas-that "Falun Gong outside of China" had used "expensive equipment" to do the transmission in "Hong Kong"-typifies the propaganda tricks perennially favored by the Chinese media: shifting public attention, muddying the public opinion, and stirring up public hostility. Even since the return of Hong Kong to Mainland China, Jiang has been trying to break apart Falun Gong in Hong Kong. Predictably, several Chinese-language media outlets backed by the Chinese government these days are busy answering the call of their master to rampantly curse Falun Gong and agitate for instituting a "law" in Hong Kong to ban its Falun Gong presence.

6. Let's work together to safeguard "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance"

All this serves as a wake-up call for Falun Gong practitioners to strive forward in clarifying the truth more comprehensively, more thoroughly and in more detail. This also indicates that the persecution against Falun Gong warrants even harsher condemnation from every righteous government and people, because instead of changing his mind and making amends, Jiang continues to escalate the persecution and does everything he can to cover up the truth about it, even though the three-year-long brutal campaign of suppression should have long convinced him that it can do little to change one's heart. We should remember that a dictator fears the voice of justice the most - as he is afraid of having his crimes exposed under the sun.

In an open, free, civil society where information flows easily, it is of course completely unnecessary for Falun Gong practitioners to resort to tapping into TV transmissions in clarifying the truth.

Like any persecution against true beliefs in history, Jiang's persecution against Falun Gong is bound to conclude as a complete failure - and the truth about Falun Gong is bound to be known to the whole world. When that moment arrives, everyone will see that the damage caused and the historical implications of this persecution will go far beyond the boundaries of our imagination. In contrast, the current peaceful effort of every kind Falun Gong practitioner, to let the world people know the truth, is to achieve a common goal for humankind, and not for of his personal interests. As is well-known, Falun Gong practitioners are first of all people who pursue their spiritual belief with their hearts, who persistently strive to embody the principle of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance." These people are now using their selflessness and broad minds to safeguard the dignity of human conscience and belief, and to safeguard the man's collective moral base that requires each of us to treasure "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance." In fact, they are providing a most valuable public service for all of us.
