Differences Across the Strait: While Police in Mainland China Persecute Falun Gong, Taiwan Police Learn and Practice Falun Gong

The Jiang regime forces the national propaganda machinery to slander and defame Falun Gong, creating terror, isolation and hatred. In the past three years, as many as 100 million innocent Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted. More than 100 thousand have been sent to jails, forced labor camps or mental hospitals, with over a thousand innocent practitioners tortured to death. And this persecution still continues. Many Chinese police were deeply involved in committing these crimes because of the lies fed to them and their own greed.

There is a sharp contrast between the Chinese police and their counterparts across the straits of Taiwan. Although they have the same profession, their reactions towards Falun Gong are totally different.

This summer, on July 10 and July 12, two groups of police officers took a very special class--Falun Gong.

Before the class started, Officer Xie, who was in charge of this activity, talked about the reasons for having it: "I spent two mornings going to the parks to have a look at numerous types of Qigong there. After comparison, I found Falun Gong is really good." "Two years ago, someone offered me the books (of Falun Gong), but I refused. Can you imagine that today I would invite them to come to teach us?"

In order to enable the students to gain some basic understanding of Dafa, the Falun Gong practitioners played a videotape for half an hour, giving the audience an introduction to Falun Gong and what is unique about it. Veteran practitioners then shared their own experiences and clarified the truth about the persecution that is taking place in Mainland China. Some police officers from other classes also came and read the poster that clarified the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. They also hoped to have such a class.

These police officers came from all over Taiwan, and had been serving for more than ten years on average. Officer Xie said in private, "I have heard about Falun Gong for quite a long time. Some people praise and spread it while some criticize it. I think that today is the time for us to learn a bit more about it. These officers are so lucky to have you come and teach the exercises." Since the results of these two classes turned out to be very successful, Officer Xie immediately decided to tell more people about Falun Gong during the recreation session during the following weeks. It was estimated that more than 300 police would have the chance to get to know Dafa this summer.

After seeing these Taiwan police freely learning Falun Gong, it was very sad to think about the different situation on the other side of the strait, given the fact that people living on both sides are Chinese--but who is righteous and who is evil is being clearly revealed.
