I am not a practitioner. My mother, a Dafa practitioner, over 60 years-old, has been detained in a labor camp for almost a year. Since then our family has been harassed constantly. My father tried to ask the government officials for help, but it was no use. They said that there was a precedent to follow when it came to Falun Gong cases. In order to have my mother released as soon as possible, I complied with the request of the labor camp and signed the "Guarantee Statement" for my mother. Later, I was very upset every time I thought of it. Their repulsive behavior violated people's freedoms, and it was an injustice to Falun Gong and all people.

Before practicing Falun Gong, my mother had been plagued by illnesses for decades. After she began practicing Falun Gong, her illnesses disappeared and her disposition improved dramatically. Our family was very happy with these changes in her. However, the government groundlessly accused Falun Gong and put hundreds of thousands of innocent practitioners in jail. In addition, practitioners' families and places of employment have been harassed constantly.

I solemnly declare my signature on the "Guarantee Statement" to be null and void. Meanwhile, I hope Falun Gong will be redressed for this miscarriage of justice as soon as possible.
