(Clearwisdom.net) On June 25, the annual convention to honor the outstanding voluntary workers for the community was held solemnly at the Parliament Hall in the Toronto City Hall. In the convention the city government commended people from different nations for their outstanding long-term contributions to the advancement of peace in the community. Two Falun Dafa practitioners, Mr. Zhang Zhaojin and Ms. Zhang Tiejun were among the 66 people honored. They received award certificates issued by the president of the Toronto Canada Day Celebration Council, representing the City Government.

Ms. Zhang Tiejun has been teaching dance at the National Ballet School of Canada for over 20 years. She has been practicing Falun Dafa for more than 5 years. For many years, she and other fellow practitioners have been working very hard to introduce the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" to the Canadian people. She voluntarily contributes all her spare time to the local community, organizing and participating in many art performances, which enrich people's lives in the local community. Ms. Zhang Tiejun's selfless dedication and tireless work have gained people's recognition and appreciation.

Mr. Zhang Zhaojin is one of the voluntary Falun Dafa contact persons in Toronto. Over the past few years, in order to help more and more Toronto residents learn about Falun Dafa's principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and to benefit from this profound and boundless oriental mind and body cultivation system, he has been using all his spare time to visit almost all governmental and non-governmental organizations. He has made tremendous contributions to the improvement of the community.

The president of the Canada Day Celebration Council who issued the awards said: "They deserve these awards."
