Spreading Dafa at a Mid-Pennsylvania Art Festival (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From July 10 to 14, the annual Mid-Pennsylvania Art Festival was grandly held at the state university. This is a pageant earnestly expected by the local citizens. This year, there were more than 350 exhibition booths. In only a few days, tens of thousands of visitors came here to enjoy the event. This was really a good opportunity for us to promote Dafa. A few veteran practitioners from Taiwan also came here to support us, and we formed a united and harmonious entity. During the whole event, we experienced the miraculous mighty power of Dafa.

Because of our omissions, we missed the deadline for booth application. We then consulted with a new practitioner, asking him if he could provide the balcony of his own supermarket as the display stage, and both he and his wife happily consented. We kept sending forth righteous thoughts and thanked Teacher for giving us the best arrangement. Without any other tent in front of us to block the view, our Dafa display stage occupied a commanding position, which was very eye-catching. When the smooth Dafa exercise music was played, we took turns demonstrating the 5-sets of Falun Gong exercises on the stage. Immediately, visitors stopped and watched or asked related questions and took information to read. Some even started learning the exercises on the spot.

The first day was also the Children's festival. The 300 colorful paper windmills we prepared in advance were all taken. We also gave out the colorful balloons for decoration to satisfy the children.

On the fourth day, we moved to another place. Our original site given by the university was changed to an intersection between two major streets between the campus and downtown, where the flows of people and vehicles were densest. This site was much better than what we expected. Everything was nicely arranged by Teacher! Eighty to ninety percent of the streams of people were young students. Our photo display boards and colorful balloons quickly attracted them. Some practitioners practiced the exercises and others distributed Dafa information flyers. We cooperated with each other very well, and shared our experiences to encourage each other to strive forward. As Teacher said in "The Difficult Path to Godhood," "Predestined relationships spanning endless lifetimes, Each connected by the thread of Dafa".

On the noisy and busy streets and under the warm sun, we practiced the exercises again and again. I felt my primary fears gradually disappear. Although I learned the sitting meditation only two weeks ago, I was able to finish it. When I entered into the tranquil state, all the noise spontaneously disappeared. That was such a wonderful feeling! When it approached noon, a practitioner who was in charge of taking pictures first found a colorful aura surrounding the Sun, with a diameter of about 2 meters. The aura stayed for about 2 to 3 hours. We felt Teacher's compassion and Dafa's boundlessness.

On the last half-day, we distributed Dafa materials at different sites, hoping all people that we met would have the opportunity to obtain the Fa. I felt a slight undulation in my heart and I understood that I should always maintain righteous thoughts whether people responded to me warmly or indifferently. During the four and a half days, we displayed the beauty of Falun Dafa to the local people. At least 10,000 sets of Dafa materials, including truth-clarifying CDs, bookmarks, music tapes and Chinese and English booklets were distributed. This allowed a great number of people to understand and learn more about Dafa. Many people encouraged us with actions or words and expressed their support to Falun Gong. Some took the initiative to leave their phone numbers so as to learn the exercises when there is an opportunity. When people talked with each other with their kind hearts, the world was so peaceful and warm. I deeply felt the sacredness of the responsibility bestowed on us as Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period. This was the first time for me to attend such a grand Fa-promoting event. I sincerely thank Teacher for his mighty compassion. I have become more and more mature and steadfast on my path of cultivation. I also believe that Falun Gong made the Art Festival more brilliant. People with predestined relationships also obtained the opportunity to learn about Dafa and establish a good foundation for their future.
